🌧️ 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗱 🌧️
With forecasts continuing to show a high probability of inclement weather in the days leading up to the events and throughout Memorial Day weekend, officials from the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series, Elkins Speedway-Elkins, WV, Tyler County Speedway, and West Virginia Motor Speedway have agreed to cancel this weekend’s West Virginia tripleheader.

The decision was made jointly by the series and all three track promoters with the safety of race teams, fans, and staff as the top priority, along with the goal of avoiding unnecessary travel expenses and complications for teams facing unfavorable weather across the region.

The events will not be made up as part of the 2026 Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series schedule. However, all three tracks are working on alternate plans to potentially reschedule their events at a later date. Any future event details will be announced directly by the tracks at a later time.

The Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series now turns its attention to June 12-13, when the tour returns to Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Miss., for the first time since 2023 for the Clash at the Mag presented by Ollie’s Bargain Outlet. The weekend will feature a pair of big-money events, paying $8,000 to win on Friday and $12,000 to win on Saturday.

With forecasts calling for wet weather and the potential for strong storms throughout the weekend, officials have made the decision to cancel this weekend’s House of Hook Showdown presented by Elite Excavation at Whynot Motorsports Park.

With the racetrack already heavily saturated from rain earlier in the week, the decision was made with the safety of race teams, fans, and staff as the top priority, along with ensuring a quality racing surface. The event will not be rescheduled.

The Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series returns to action Memorial Day weekend with the tour’s first-ever trip to West Virginia, featuring three straight nights of racing beginning May 22 at Elkins Speedway, paying $10,000 to win. The action continues May 23 at Tyler County Speedway with a $12,000-to-win event, before wrapping up May 24 at West Virginia Motor Speedway with a $15,000-to-win finale.

We participated in the inaugural Hunt the Front race of the year at Talladega, narrowly missing qualification for the show by a few positions. The Sarandon vehicle's significant speed improvement throughout the night provided valuable insights into car setup; however, our qualifying results placed us at a disadvantage. We will regroup and move forward, with our next appearance scheduled at East Alabama on Friday for the World of Outlaws Late Model event.
