📚 Starting a new homeschool year?

Whether this is your FIRST year homeschooling or you’ve been doing it for years, the beginning of the school year can feel like a reset.

Here are 5 things we wish we’d known sooner:

1️⃣ Don’t try to recreate traditional or Private school at home.

2️⃣ You don’t need to buy every homeschool curriculum you see.

3️⃣ Your schedule can change when something isn’t working.

4️⃣ Find your homeschool community early.

5️⃣ A bad homeschool day doesn’t mean you’re failing.

Homeschooling gives families something incredibly valuable: the ability to figure out what works for THEIR children and THEIR family.

We’re going to be sharing more of what we’ve learned along the way—homeschool tips, resources, activities, family fitness, things that worked for us…and probably a few things that definitely didn’t. 😂

Homeschool PE doesn’t have to look like traditional PE. 💪

For our family, it looks like running, lifting, competing, encouraging each other, building confidence and learning how to keep going when things get hard.

This morning we’re doing exactly that at Arevir Fit.

Homeschooling gives families the freedom to make movement, fitness and community part of the school day and around here, this is school too.
