HUGE congratulations to Coach Gretchen on earning her CrossFit Level 3! 🎉🦈
The L3 is no small achievement. It’s one of CrossFit’s highest credentials, earned through years of coaching experience, extensive study, and a rigorous exam. A credential held by fewer than 1% of CrossFit trainers worldwide.
Gretchen is an incredible athlete and an even better coach. Her knowledge, compassion, and genuine care for the people around her can be felt every day at Mako.
We believe great coaches never stop learning. We keep raising our standard so we can keep giving our community our best.
We’re incredibly proud of you, Gretchen. L3 looks good on you! 💪🦈 CrossFit CrossFit Training & Education

Today Mako took on the CrossFit Total 🦈
Back squat. Strict press. Deadlift.
The CrossFit Total is simple: three lifts and an honest look at where your strength stands.
Big weights, new PRs, and an even stronger Mako crew.
Another Total in the books 💪

Competition doesn’t always need a podium.
Sometimes the competition is staying capable.
Strong enough to carry what needs carrying.
Fit enough to say yes to the things you want to do.
Resilient enough to handle what life throws at you.
And disciplined enough to keep showing up long after anyone is keeping score.
CrossFit has always been about more than what happens inside the gym. The real measure is whether the work we do here makes us better prepared for “game, mission, and life.”
That changes the way you look at competition.
The barbell is a test.
The clock is a test.
The person beside you can push you further than you would have gone alone.
But none of them are the ultimate opponent.
We train strength so we can keep it.
We build capacity so we have more of it to lose.
We practice doing hard things because life will eventually ask hard things of us.
There’s a scoreboard much bigger than the whiteboard.
Can you still move well?
Can you still play?
Can you still explore?
Can you still be useful?
Can you still choose what your body is capable of doing?
At 50. At 70. At 90.
That’s a competition worth training for.
Not just to be the fittest in the room.
To stay in the fight for as long as possible.
Train for the leaderboard, but build yourself for life.
