🤍 Funnel Cake 🤍

When it comes to a small hometown carnival there’s always that one thing we look forward to. For me it’s Funnel Cake! If I do nothing else but enjoy a sugar overloaded, fried funnel cake I’m good! 😂🤪

This one is also on a natural base with the softest yellow and barely there pink speckles.

And I wanted to round out the collection with a few other tonals, so I decided to add Hyacinth and Coral Reef as well!

💕 Hyacinth 💕

A soft purple pink that fills in the space for a purple to pair with other colorways in this collection. It’s not too bright, but offers a hint of softness to this palette.

🪸 Coral Reef 🪸

One of our favorite coral orange colors! I added it in with this collection because it perfectly rounds out the other colors and pairs pretty well with Funnel Cake!!

Live Music + Ring Toss

🎶 Live Music 🎶

What is a festival or a carnival without Live Music?

It’s what draws us into the scene from the very moment we arrive at the ticket booth. Even if you don’t dance, you might catch yourself swaying to the rhythm at some point.

As you get closer to the stage you see people with blankets on the ground, enjoying their carnival snacks and playing with the kids. You see kids us dancing and singing along to the music having the time of their life.

Everyone walks around the carnival to enjoy the games and rides, but the music is what draws people together in one place.

Live Music is speckled with shades of green and teal on a neutral base.

My favorite part of this collection is that all the speckles are on a neutral base, which allows the speckles to stand out and not get lost in a base color. 🥰

⭕️ Ring Toss ⭕️

I wanted to bring something into this collection that would bring us back to when the ring toss games at the fair had the old vintage green bottles all lined up in rows. Anyone remember those? I don’t know if they still use the old green bottles now, but that’s how I remember ring toss when I was a kid!

Ferris Wheel + Carousel

🎡 Ferris Wheel 🎡

It’s the ride we see above all else as we approach the entrance to the carnival. It’s the one that gets the most Oah’s and Aah’s at its magnificent stature.

And then there’s the excitement of riding the Ferris Wheel. Getting to the top and being able to see across the entire festival. A broad view of the laughter and fun happening all throughout the grounds.

Our Ferris Wheel colorway features fuschia pink, wine red and teal blue on a neutral base.

🎠 Carousel 🎠

There is something iconic about walking into a carnival, no matter how big or small, and seeing the Carousel lit up (especially at night!). ✨ Watching it spin around full of kids and laughter can bring a level of unexplainable joy! 💕

There is also a reason lots of romantic movies include a carousel in one of their scenes because it gives us all a warm, fuzzy feeling! 🥰

This royal blue is still one of my favorites I’ve dyed to date. 💙

Caramel Apples + Cotton Candy

🍎 Caramel Apples 🍎

If you’re going to the carnival and want to stay “healthy”, make sure you grab an apple….oh wait! 🤣

Caramel apples may not be what the doctor refers to when they say “eat more fruits and vegetables” but they look SO GOOD! 👀

I mean….just close your eyes and picture yourself walking through the carnival right now. Imagine the smell of them making those caramel apples! Oh. My. Gosh. 😋

Our Caramel Apples colorway features fuschia pink, deep red and butterscotch yellow speckles on a neutral base.

💕 Cotton Candy 💕

Of course we needed a color based on this melt in your mouth, sugary concoction of goodness!

There’s something about not only watching it being made, but also the stickiness on your hands and face while the threads of sugar melt in your mouth. It provides us with the sugar rush we need to run around and enjoy all the things the carnival has to offer! 🎡

And the nostalgia of walking around seeing adults and kids carrying these fluffy clouds that just feels right.

Cotton Candy is a soft fuschia pink.

We have arrived to our last full week for the and it is *very* bittersweet.

While we wrap up our first one without our dear sweet friend Dana Rae it is with so much joy that I share these donated prize packs with you.

These all belonged to Dana. ❤️❤️❤️

Her husband reached out several months ago and asked if he could send items for the makelaong and they arrived a few weeks ago.
