Coaches get often told by their students that they want to be a champion. They see others on the big stage but they don’t realize what it took to get there.
All they see the glory and praise that these guys get, like ;

They were competing in small venues that aren’t the best.

We don’t get to start at the top in any combat sport.
World champion or not, everyone starts in venues like the one on the bottom.
