Meet Our Leadership: Alejandro Avila

Alejandro has been connected to tennis nearly his entire life. He began playing at the age of six and entered professional competition at 15, dedicating five years to competing at a high level. His journey later took him to Chile before transferring to the University of West Florida.

As Programs Director & Head Coach, Alejandro leads the daily ex*****on of our programs, supports and supervises the coaching staff, and maintains high instructional standards across junior and adult development.

His passion, experience, and commitment help every PTP athlete build confidence and reach their full potential.

Meet Our Leadership: Thales Machado

Originally from Brazil, Thales brings two and a half years of collegiate tennis experience and more than five years of coaching experience to Pensacola Tennis & Pickleball.

As our Director of Operations, Thales oversees strategic growth, program development, scheduling, events, financial performance, and community outreach. On the court, he is committed to creating a positive and structured environment where players can build confidence, improve their game, and develop a lasting passion for tennis.

We’re proud to have Thales helping lead the continued growth of PTP!
