We are proud to continue building and growing our program under the leadership and instruction of coach Chris Tubbs as our 8u Yardhouse Gorillas Head coach for the Spring 2027 season. Keep a lookout for tryouts coming this fall.

Coach Chris Tubbs is a Pensacola native and a 2017 graduate of Pine Forest High School. During his time at Pine Forest, he played first base, catcher, and pitcher from 2013 to 2016. After graduating, Coach Tubbs attended Huntingdon College where he played collegiate football.

Coach Tubbs believes consistency is the foundation of effectively coaching young athletes. While understanding the game is important, players also need a coach who is dependable, patient, and committed to their development. By providing steady guidance and clear expectations, he works to build trust and create an environment where every player can learn, grow, and succeed.

At 27 years old and a father of two, Coach Tubbs brings a diverse athletic background, strong baseball knowledge, and a passion for helping young athletes develop their skills, confidence, and understanding of the game.
