Development takes time.
The hardest part of softball today is that social media makes everyone feel behind.
But confidence, timing, body control, and consistency are built over YEARS — not one season.
Trust the long game.
One of the biggest mistakes hitters make against a changeup is catching the ball too far out front. Instead of trying to reach for the pitch, I gave her one simple cue: “Hit it off your back hip.”
That helped her let the ball travel, improve her timing, and stay through the middle of the field. Sometimes the right cue is all it takes to make an adjustment.
