At 7:46 this morning, Central Time, it will have been exactly 25 years since the first plane struck the World Trade Center.

25 years.

Long enough that many of the people who work with us today weren't even born on September 11, 2001.

They don't remember where they were. They don't remember watching the television. They don't remember how confusing that morning was, or how quickly an ordinary Tuesday became a day none of us would ever forget.

And maybe that's why remembering can't be the only thing we do.

We have to keep telling the stories, too.

About the people who went to work that morning and never came home. About the first responders who ran toward people who needed them. About the people on airplanes and in offices who helped strangers. About families who lost someone they loved and carried that loss with them for every one of these 25 years.

For some of us, September 11 is a memory.

For others, it will always be history.

That means it's on those of us who remember to keep telling them why this day matters. Not so they inherit the fear we felt that morning, but so the people at the center of these stories are never reduced to something they read about in a history book.

25 years later, we remember.

And we tell the story.

If you spent any time with us this season, Claire Harris was likely the person who made your tickets happen. She kept everything running smoothly, knew every nook, cranny and inexplicable crevice of our ticketing system, and was truly the linchpin of our box office operations.

We are so thankful to see that recognized as Claire gets the opportunity to become General Manager of the Springfield Lucky Horseshoes back in her hometown!

We will miss you here in Mississippi, but we’ll be cheering you on from afar as you start this next great adventure.

Congratulations, Claire! We’re really proud of you....and we'll miss you around here!

David Kerr has been named General Manager of the Mississippi Mud Monsters.

He’s been in the middle of building this organization from the beginning. Now, he’ll lead it into what comes next.
