STORY-TIME!

So many moons ago, I decided I wanted to try my hand at making CROCHET CLOTHING.

I didn’t want to make blankets and “stuff.” I thought that was boring. 😂

I wanted to make something people could actually WEAR.

Problem was… I didn’t know a DANG thing. 😂

I didn’t know about yarn weights.
I didn’t know about sizing.
I didn’t know how to make clothing fit.

And apparently, I thought I could just **WING IT.** 🤦🏾‍♀️

So I bought some 100% wool Yarn Bee yarn that was on sale for $20 and decided to make myself a knee-length shawl—with NO pattern. 😂

Well… this was definitely an **oops project.**

It was supposed to be straight, but I was accidentally skipping the end stitch and losing stitches as I went. I didn’t even realize it until this thing started getting longer and more SLANTED. 😭

And the weight?! BABY. This thing felt like it weighed about 40 pounds! 😂

But you know what?

That “mistake” was actually the beginning of my journey into crochet clothing.

Sometimes you have to be willing to make the ugly, wonky, “what the hell happened?” project before you learn how to make the GOOD stuff. 😂🧶

And looking back now… I wouldn’t change a thing. 💙
