Fall invites us to go inward and rest. Our annual November retreat at Lake Rabun is structured to help you do exactly that—releasing what weighs you down so that you can rest peacefully in the quiet months that follow.

Sunny Street owner Stacy Joslin hosts this experience, combining the tools and modalities of her yoga and integrated wellness coaching practices. Formal retreat activities take place on Saturday; your registration includes all-levels yoga, wellness and self-care workshops throughout the day, as well as a healthy and delicious lunch.

You’re welcome to come for the day or stay all weekend—whatever works best for your time and budget. Staying over Saturday night? Join us for moonlight Yoga Nidra by the fire. Staying Friday night or arriving early on Saturday? Start your retreat with morning restorative stretch before the formal event opening.

The Lake Rabun Hotel has held aside all rooms in the main hotel for us—to book, call them directly at 706-782-4946 (rooms won’t show as free on the website due to the block).

Enrollment (including all Saturday activities, evening Nidra, morning stretch, and lunch), is $399.

All proceeds from this event support the mission of the Sunny Street Initiative.

Fables & Ferns Bookstore Fables & Ferns is a used book store that’s been popping up in several places in town over the last few months, including the Peachtree Corners Farmers Market. Owner Tari and Stacy are collaborating on a unique event tomorrow that combines yoga and books.

At noon, Stacy will teach a “Poses and Plot Twists” all-levels class with first-dibs shopping afterward (now sold out).

From 1:30-5, the doors open to the public for the larger book sale, so please come on by anytime during that window and support a wonderful new local business!

New Class Alert!

You’ve heard of Sunday Scaries? Well, welcome to Sunday Soothies!

Stacy leads this weekly centering session of seated breath work and gentle yin and restorative stretches, topped off with a unique guided meditation each week. The class is intended to help you soothe the senses, calm your nervous system, tune out the external world, focus inward, and rest.

This is a virtual-first offering; we’ll open up live attendance to eight yogis but offer lots more additional online space. The camera will be front and center of the room to ensure a clear view. If you practice at home, lower the lights, grab your cushions and blankets, light a candle, and settle in. Plus, if you’re already at home, savasana can last as long as you want…
