Our last Senior Spotlight is our Cheer Captain Liana!

After four years on the Cheer Squad, Liana will graduate with a Nursing degree and a minor in Global Health. After graduation, Liana will begin her career as a Registered Nurse with the goal of working in either an adult or pediatric intensive care unit. For Liana, “My favorite memory of being on the Spirit Squad was cheering on the sidelines when our Women’s Basketball team won their first ever NCAA National Championship! The energy and pride felt throughout the arena created such a surreal and unforgettable moment. Having that be my final game as a UCLA cheerleader was nothing short of a dream ending to the best 4 years!”

Our next Senior Spotlight is Tyler!

After four years on the Mascot Team, Tyler will graduate with a degree in Psychobiology. After graduation, Tyler will continue the application process for medical school while working as a clinical research coordinator at the Reed Neurological Building at UCLA. When asked what he’ll miss most, Tyler shared, “Being in the locker room and catching up with all of my favorite people. I love the certainty of always being able to say hi to all the people I love on the squad and just being in that space with everyone. Spirit Squad blessed me with people I never would have been able to connect with otherwise.”

In our next Senior Spotlight, we celebrate our Cheer Captain Charlotte!

After three years on the Cheer Squad, Charlotte will graduate with a double major in Economics and Cognitive Science. After graduation she plans to attend law school. For Charlotte, “One of my favorite memories on the Spirit Squad was cheering for the UCLA vs. Penn State football game this past season. Upsetting one of the top teams in the country alongside my teammates as blue and gold confetti rained down on us was an unforgettable experience to highlight my senior year on the squad.”

Our next Senior Spotlight is Mascot Captain Esme!

After two years on the Squad, Esme will graduate with a degree in Sociology. After graduation, she will be attending James Madison University for graduate school and working as a Graduate Assistant in Aquatics. When asked what she’ll miss most, Esme shared “Being in suit and interacting with fans was such a meaningful experience. Being able to bring smiles to people’s faces and become a small part of their memories connected to UCLA are moments I’ll always be proud of.”

Our next Senior Spotlight is our Dance Captain Jen!

After four years on the Dance Team, Jen will graduate with a degree in Communications and a minor in Public Affairs. After graduation, Jen will be studying for the LSAT (with plans to eventually go to law school) and continuing her dance career as a member of the Raiderettes! Jen’s favorite memories from her tenure on the Squad were “my first ever football game at the Rose Bowl and winning the Women’s Basketball National Championship game my senior year. Both were moments that made me realize I live the dream life.”

In our next Senior Spotlight we celebrate our Cheer Captain Steven!

After two years on the Cheer Squad, Steven will graduate with a degree in Psychobiology. After graduation he plans to study for the MCAT and eventually apply to medical school. When asked what he’ll miss most about the Squad, Steven shared, “The opportunity to go on travel trips! All of my trips have been super fun, and they’re such an amazing opportunity to get to know the people you are traveling with on a deeper level. Also, fun fact, I had not traveled to another state before being on the Spirit Squad, so I’m definitely grateful for these opportunities.”

Our next Senior Spotlight is Adam!

After three years on the Squad, Adam will graduate with a degree in Political Science. After graduation, he plans to continue working in sports, including his current role with the Ontario Reign. When asked about his favorite memory from his time on the Squad, Adam shared “Every single game. Every game is another chance for me to perform and represent my Alma Mater. I take pride in being one of the first people in my hometown to attend UCLA, and engaging with audiences and cheering on my peers in their respective sports on behalf of the university has been a dream come true!”
