🏐 What a Fun and Memorable Evening of Volleyball! ❤️🖤
Thank you to everyone who came out to support our girls as they took the court against Greenbriar for the final time this season — and for our 8th graders, the final time in their middle school careers!
❤️ 7th Grade
To start our recap, let’s talk about our 7th graders.
Sadly, they fell in two straight sets to the Yeomen. However, I know I probably sound like a broken record when I say this... but man, are these girls growing — both in the sport and as people. They continue to get better with each and every match, and small victories are happening all the time. Yes, we might not win a ton of matches right now, but there are so many small, unseen battles being won every single day. Those victories may not always show up on the scoreboard, but they are building the foundation for success down the road.
Playing especially well for your 7th graders tonight were Sophie Webb, Layla Sneed, and Maddie Allman.
Layla and Maddie were both consistent at the service line and scored numerous points for us — something they have worked incredibly hard on throughout the entire season.
Sophie had a great night attacking the ball and continues to show that all of the extra work she has put into learning how to swing is paying off!
🖤 A Special Night for Our 8th Graders
Before recapping the 8th-grade match, I want to say thank you to all of the parents, guardians, friends, and family members who came out tonight for the 8th-grade recognition.
A huge thank-you also goes to Greenbriar and their coaching staff for graciously inviting our girls to participate in their recognition night. It was bittersweet watching our girls take the court one final time against their in-city rivals.
Moving forward, many of these girls may eventually become teammates — while some may stay rivals! Either way, it was a really special and heartwarming moment for both programs, and we are grateful to Greenbriar for allowing us to be part of it.
🏆 8th Grade — RAIDERS WIN!
Now for the good news! Your 8th-grade Raiders defeated Greenbriar in TWO SETS!
🏐 Set 1: Shiloh wins, 26–24
🏐 Set 2: Shiloh wins, 25–13
The first set was an absolute battle. Our girls fought their way to a 26–24 victory before taking control in the second set and winning in dominant fashion, 25–13!
Playing especially well tonight were Mia Smalcer, Amiah Bates, and Bailey Pearn. Between the three of them, they had seemingly too many aces to count!
One of the biggest moments of the night came from Amiah Bates. With us trailing by six points, Amiah stepped to the service line and served nine straight times, helping erase the deficit and put us in the lead. That run played a huge role in allowing us to come all the way back and win the first set!
Ultimately, though, this was a complete team victory.
Every girl contributed. Our back row battled, our front row made plays, our servers put pressure on Greenbriar, and everyone gave their best effort. It took the entire team to earn this victory, and it was an awesome way for our 8th graders to finish their final matchup against Greenbriar!

Wear the craziest hat you own! If you don't have a "crazy" hat, wear your favorite one!
We have a busy and exciting finish to the week ahead!
Thank you, as always, to our families, staff, and everyone who continues to support these girls and our program. Nights like tonight are about so much more than what happens on the scoreboard, and we appreciate everyone who continues to be part of this journey with us.
