“Ladies, you have to lift heavy.”

What does that even mean?

It’s not about the number on the dumbbell. It’s not 25lbs, it’s not 45lbs — it’s not about the weight at all.

It’s about progressive overload: adding a rep, adding a set, finding the version of the movement that actually challenges you — and leaving 1-2 reps in the tank, not maxing out for a highlight reel.

That’s the whole game. Structure over guesswork. Progression over ego.

This is exactly what we build week by week inside Train to Execute — no random heavy days, no chasing PRs for the algorithm. Just a structured plan that gets you stronger, safely, on purpose.

Comment EXECUTE and I’ll send you the free Progressive Overload Reset — the exact tool to help you find your version of “heavy” and track it week to week.

Some people diet and exercise. You fuel your body and train. If you’re over 40 and done chasing smaller — comment EXECUTE and I’ll send you the free Progressive Overload Reset to get started.

Oh I hated the news of the loss of Dolly Parton today! I grew up on country music but LOVED Dolly - singing in the vacuum cleaner hose to her albums - stuffing my little shirt to look like her (yep) and I knew every word to all the songs and can still sing Coat of Many Colors - Jolene - My Tennessee Mountain Home - and soooo many others..... she was a treasure!!! 💔

Down 26 pounds. 6 weeks at a time. And she’s doing LESS cardio than she used to — not more.

Here’s the truth after 40: running, spinning, and cardio-only days won’t build or protect the muscle you need. What changes your body is structured strength training — consistent, progressive, built around real recovery.

Train to Execute is a 6-week strength system for women over 40 who are done guessing and ready to follow a plan that actually works.

Structure over motivation. Ex*****on over participation.

Here’s the truth nobody tells you: it’s not a discipline problem. It’s a program problem.

If your workout looks the same today as it did 6 weeks ago — same weight, same reps, same routine — your body adapted a long time ago. “Consistent” isn’t the same as “improving.” Without progressive overload, you’re just maintaining, not training.

Real progress isn’t complicated. It’s more weight. More reps at the same load. Less rest between sets. A plan that actually changes on a schedule instead of staying the same forever.

Save this for your next program reset.

Comment “STRUCTURE” and I’ll send you what progressive overload actually looks like.

Structure over motivation. Ex*****on over participation.

Most people do hip abduction and only train ONE plane.

Watch Lindsay's form here 👀 — she’s not just lifting the leg out to the side. She’s controlling internal AND external rotation through the whole rep. That rotational control is where the real work happens.

Here’s why it matters: your upper glutes (glute med/min) don’t work in isolation. They’re deeply linked to your pelvic floor. When you rotate with control instead of just swinging the leg, you recruit BOTH — building hip stability from the top shelf of the glute down through the pelvic floor.

This is triplane training. This is why form > reps.
