The shop will close at 2PM today -- Chris is teaching a MTB class and Doug is at a charity event in Xenia. We are VERY sorry for any inconvenience. Thanks for helping to keep a small shop in a small town open -- because it is NOT the students that keep us open!

BikeWise would like to welcome the new "shop kitty". I hadn't intended to adopt another cat after B.K. passed on, but after a successful adoption of a old tom that was in really rough shape in College Corner who has become a great home companion, when Oxford Catty Shack posted this guy, a declawed cat that had been dumped outside to fend for himself (impossible without claws!) I couldn't say no. He is very sweet, and doesn't mind being held. Catty Shack unoffically dubbed him "King" because he was found near King Library, but we'll come up with something suitably "bikey" for him!

WE ARE NOT CLOSING THE SHOP!

Where DO people hear this stuff?

We'll be right here - but please remember - every single purchase you make COUNTS. The only way little shops like mine can stay in business is for YOU to chose US when you need something!

Please don't think "I can order everything online - other people will keep them going" because that is the mindset that kills the little guys!

Happy, uh, SMOKY Friday! We'll be closing early today by 2PM- Chris had to go to NYC to pick up a kiddo, and I'm headed to Pittsburgh with Ben and Ethan for the Grand Prix. Don't ride your bike today if you can help it. These PM2.5 particles are seriously BAD NEWS for lungs!

It'll be cleared out as the front passes and the winds shift out of the NW!

Hi all! We will be CLOSED SATURDAY 7/11!
Doug here.....In a bizarre set of circumstances with everyone being involved in events outside the shop this coming Saturday, including my performances in the orchestra for the International Double Reed Society's Annual Conference being held at Miami U this year, I won't have anyone available to run the shop. I'm so very sorry about this. It is rare to have a Saturday closing. We'll be back open Tuesday. Remember, Monday hours can be had by appointment, so if you need something and don't want to wait, let me know!

Hello everyone! Please note that next week, the shop will be closed for a period of reset and catch-up from Tuesday, May 26 through May 30. If I can staff for the 30th, we may be open. Call - if we answer, we're open! I've had less help than ever this year, and many newer bikes have grown so complex, it's not feasible to spend productive time training part-timers who aren't here long enough to reach the point they can work without direct supervision!

Quality over quantity is our mantra, but it has caused turnarounds to grow unacceptibly long.

I WILL be in the shop crazy hours most of next week, so if you need a part or a flat fixed or just want to drop a bike off, call and leave a message - I'll get right back with you and do everything I can to get you back on the road! As bikes are finished, I will be happy to arrange times for pickups.

We appreciate your support! Thanks for helping keep a bike shop in Oxford!

Hi everyone! We are changing our hours for the first time in 22 years!

We will be closed on Mondays, although appointments can be made in advance for fittings or bike sales on Monday when available.

Saturday hours will be 10-5, instead of the current 9-5.

Appointments are also available after hours for bike fittings or bike sales.

Thanks for keeping a bike shop in Oxford going! Every choice to shop local helps!
