Just a reminder that this coming Thursday is our Interest Meeting at Oxford High School; 6pm in the Tiered Media Room.

Eligible students are anyone 6th-12th grade that reside in the Oxford City School district — this includes home school kids.

For the parents out there of kids not in 6th grade yet, you can still be a part of the team as a volunteer coach. It’s a good way to learn about the season before your kid actually races.

We will fill you in on everything you need to know as an athlete or parent to help make your decision. No pressure or obligation to join.

A few of our student athletes competed in the off-season at the The Assault on Sunset Hill 6/3 Hour race yesterday.

We had some podium finishes (Dylan Storm, Abby Dowling, Annaliece Dowling, and Bella Shull), but the real achievement for all of them was just being out there competing in the summer heat, which was especially brutal during the event this year. These kids showed some true grit to suffer an endurance race in such dry hot conditions.

A special shout out to Isabella Shull who teamed up with a couple of former ACA coaches and put in a final lap for the team in the hottest part of the day. She hammered down and came in just before cut-off to log another lap for the Hood Rats. She’ll be racing varsity for Oxford in our upcoming season and is sure to be one to watch out for.

Thank you to The City of Oxford, Alabama for recognizing Oxford MTB! This was a great year for our racers and coaches! 2026 Div 2 State Champs!

On Tuesday evening, the Oxford City Council will be recognizing our team at their (6:30) meeting at City Hall for winning the State Championship.

Feel free to gather for the regular Tuesday night Community Ride at McCellan; however, be aware that the Oxford students and coaches will not be attending the ride tomorrow (July 14th) due to this honor.

Have fun, ride safe, and we’ll see you next week.
