WTMA Conducts Its Inaugural Black Belt Examination and Promotions

The World Taekwondo Moo Duk Kwan Association (WTMA) proudly announces the successful completion of its inaugural WTMA Black Belt Examination and Promotion Seminar.

Following two days of comprehensive instruction in WTMA history, philosophy, curriculum, organizational policy, and rigorous technical training, candidates were evaluated through extensive physical demonstrations, practical applications, and formal examination. As a result, ten (only five pictured) practitioners successfully earned promotion as the first official WTMA Black Belt members.

My name is Grand Master Frank R. Nelson, Vice President and Executive Director of the WTMA. It is my honor to introduce my teacher, Grand Master Jae Sun Do, Founder and President of the World Taekwondo Moo Duk Kwan Association.

Grand Master Do has been a 9th Dan Taekwondo Moo Duk Kwan Grandmaster since 1994 and is among the most senior living representatives of the Korea Taekwondo Moo Duk Kwan tradition.
A direct student of Grand Master Hwang Kee, Founder of Moo Duk Kwan, and Grand Master Hong Chong Soo, former President of the Korea Taekwondo Moo Duk Kwan Association and Vice President of both the Korea Taekwondo Association and Kukkiwon, Grand Master Do has devoted his lifetime to preserving and advancing the history, philosophy, and technical excellence of Taekwondo Moo Duk Kwan.

His distinguished career includes service as a Korean Air Force Instructor, author, educator, Kukkiwon International Master and International Poom/Dan Examiner, International Referee, former Secretary General of the Pan-American Moo Duk Kwan, and Founder of the WTMA.

Together, Grand Master Do and I invite practitioners of all backgrounds to experience one of the world’s most comprehensive and progressive Taekwondo Moo Duk Kwan training systems. WTMA combines the traditional foundations of Korean martial arts with the technical advancements of modern Kukkiwon Taekwondo while preserving the enduring philosophy and spirit of Moo Duk Kwan.

In the past, I personally worked with prospective members through Messenger, text messages, phone calls, and email. As our organization continues to grow, we have established an administrative process to better serve our members and ensure consistency.

Upon your inquiry, you will receive a WTMA Membership Interview/Questionnaire. This questionnaire helps us determine the most appropriate membership category and organizational placement based on your background, experience, and goals.
