Meet Beth. Beth was my college roommate for 3/4 years.

Humble brag: she’s one of the smartest people I know and runs the Integrated Bioprocessing Research Laboratory on the University of Illinois campus in Champaign-Urbana.

She’s also a no bullsh*t, no nonsense kinda gal, so when she asked me to start coaching her in 2020, I KNEW she really trusted me and my expertise.

Since then she’s been as consistent as you can be in an extremely demanding and high profile career. She has spent years stacking endurance bricks 🧱 on top of each other, getting faster 💨 and faster as the days go on, and honestly… she’s the most fit she’s ever been in her life.

This weekend we raced side by side at the Run Mahomet 10k, on the muggiest and corn sweatiest day 2026 has seen thus far. We passed each other on the out and back, and neither of us could muster more than half wave or a thumbs up. It was hot and humid and all sorts of Midwest summer adjectives. We had sweat running down our sports bra at the starting line and finished drenched in it.

Beth continues to impress me with her consistency over the years, traveling the country with her running shoes (she might log more miles in DC every spring than at home, TBH 🤷🏼‍♀️) and constantly pushing her limits on the road.

Kudos to you Beth for always showing up 🙌🏼

Teresa just completed her FIRST EVER TRIATHLON!
🏊🏼‍♀️ 🚴🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️💨🏅She came to me about 6 weeks ago, ready to dive head first into this crazy world with some big goals! Today was her first test: The Wauconda Sprint Triathlon. She raced with her husband and CRUSHED the day!

She has learned SO MUCH in 6 short weeks, but she also has so much more to go, IM 70.3 Cozumel is officially 7 weeks away 😱 and she’s set to the toe the line!

The final Medal Monday 🏅 (but make it Wednesday) celebrates Megan finishing the Crystal Lake Sprint Aquathon, 3rd in AG! 🏊🏼‍♀️ 🏃🏼‍♀️🥉

She is giving herself all the race practice for her big day coming up in September, IM Michigan 70.3! And I can’t WAIT to see her smile that day 🤩

🏅 Medal Monday (but make it Tuesday) continues!

🏊🏼‍♀️ 🏃🏼‍♀️ Lindsey dipped her toes into the Crystal Lake Aquathon on Sunday and had the most fun! (Her smile says it all!) She walked away with 1st in Age Group and continues to work hard and build for next big adventure… the Chicago Marathon!

The Green Lake Triathlon was a HUGE success for Erin Svec! Erin came to me almost a year ago, eager yet timid to express her big scary goals: return to triathlon. Guess what? SHE DID IT!

Her biggest insecurity was the swim and she has spent SO MUCH TIME turning her weakness into a strength! Her work ethic is inspiring and her smile is contagious. She tasted success this weekend with her husband beside her and kids cheering her on the sidelines! I’m so happy for you, Erin! And the fun is just getting started 😉

Medal 🏅 Monday coming right up 👏🏼

Mike raced the Christmas in July Half Marathon on Saturday and used the race to test his mental stamina and physical fitness in the heat 🔥 (and humidity 💦)

He’s come a long way over the last year+ and the improvements are really starting to show! Proof that being committed to the process over the long haul pays off 🙌🏼
