🌟August is National Immunization Awareness Month!🌟

If you have kidney disease, staying up to date with recommended vaccines is one of the best ways to help protect your health.

For people with chronic kidney disease, those on dialysis, those taking prescription medications for end-stage renal disease and others who are immunocompromised, vaccination can be a safe way to help protect against serious disease and related complications that can lead to hospitalization and even death.

Always talk with a trusted healthcare professional about recommended vaccines. If your healthcare professional does not offer the vaccines you need in their office, ask for a referral to ensure you get all of the vaccines recommended for you.

📣Let’s spread the word and make sure everyone is protected.

đź’• This Friday: Pink & Pages for Dolly đź“–

Like so many around the world, we’re heartbroken by the loss of Dolly Parton — a music icon who also helped generations of children discover a love of reading.

Dolly understood what we see in our classrooms every day: reading can open doors, spark imaginations and change lives. That’s why this Friday, Aug. 28, we’re turning OCPS PINK in her honor!

Students, teachers, staff, families and our community are invited to wear pink and spend at least 10 minutes reading.

Through her Imagination Library, Dolly helped put more than 300 million books into the hands of children around the world, including right here in Orange County.

So grab something pink, pick up a book and turn a few pages for Dolly. And be sure to DM us your Pink & Pages pics tomorrow!

🌟August is National Immunization Awareness Month! 🌟

If you have diabetes, staying up to date with recommended vaccines is as important to your health as diet and exercise. đź’‰

People with diabetes are at higher risk for serious complications from certain vaccine-preventable diseases.

Diabetes, even when well-managed, can make it harder for the immune system to fight infection, which can increase the risk of getting certain diseases.

Talk with a trusted healthcare professional about recommended vaccines. If your healthcare professional does not offer the vaccines you need in their office, ask for a referral to ensure you get all of the vaccines recommended for you.

📣Let’s spread the word and make sure everyone is protected.
