This win covers something we do not talk about often enough. πŸ’–

The menstrual cycle is one of the most direct reflections of nervous system health in the female body. When the nervous system is in a chronic state of stress or protection, it directly affects hormonal regulation, which shows up in the cycle as increased pain, irregularity, and heightened emotional sensitivity in the days surrounding it.

So when a woman comes in with hip and neck pain, anxiety, and a cycle that has been making her life harder than it needs to be, we are not looking at separate problems. We are looking at one nervous system that has been carrying too much for too long.
Watching the pain ease, the cycle become more manageable, the anxiety soften, and the emotions become something she can actually move through rather than be consumed by, that is one of the most complete and beautiful kinds of healing we get to witness here.

We are so proud of this one. πŸ₯°

Traveling with kids this summer? Here is what actually helps their nervous system feel safe along the way.

A familiar comfort item, whether it is a favorite blanket or a small stuffed animal, gives your child something recognizable to hold onto in an unfamiliar place. Keeping bedtime routines consistent, even in a different bed, sends a powerful signal of safety through the predictability of the same steps every night. Familiar meals and snacks, especially in the first few days somewhere new, help regulate a nervous system that is already processing a lot of newness. Built in quiet moments, even just ten minutes away from stimulation, give an overwhelmed system the chance to reset before it reaches its limit. And physical closeness, through hugs, holding hands, or simply sitting near you, helps your child co-regulate in a world that suddenly feels less predictable than home.

At the end of the day, the most important thing you bring on any trip is not in the suitcase. It is you, present and regulated, because that is the anchor your child’s nervous system is always looking for.

Safe travels this summer, from our family to yours. 🌿✈️

Today the country pauses to celebrate freedom. And we find ourselves thinking about what that word means in the context of the body.

Because there is a kind of freedom that does not come from a document or a declaration. It comes from a nervous system that has finally stopped bracing. That has finally received enough consistent signals of safety to let go of the chronic state of protection it has been living in, sometimes for years, sometimes for a lifetime.
The freedom to sleep without waking at 3 AM with a racing heart. The freedom to sit in a quiet room without your mind immediately filling it with worry. The freedom to be fully present with the people you love without part of you always scanning for the next threat.

That kind of freedom is what we work toward with every single person who walks through our doors.

On a day that celebrates independence, we want to remind every member of this community that your body was built for that kind of freedom too. And we are honored to be part of the journey toward it.

Happy Fourth of July. πŸŒΏπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

This is one of our favorite kinds of wins because it did not just happen for one person. It rippled through an entire family. πŸ’›

A daughter came in and started receiving care. And her dad, the one who was watching from the sidelines, started noticing things that no one had to point out to him. A child who was calmer. More settled. More herself. Changes that were quiet enough to miss if you were not paying attention but undeniable once you were.

And instead of keeping that observation to himself, he did something that genuinely moved us. He turned to his wife and said you need to experience this too.
That is what nervous system healing looks like when it is real. It does not just change the person receiving care. It changes the way the people around them see what is possible for themselves.

We are so proud of this little one. And we are so grateful for the dad who was paying close enough attention to notice. 🌟🌿
