Our June OMMA Summer Camp is complete. Day #5 was a blast!

We had our showcase, where each camper had a chance to come up in front of the instructors and other students and demonstrate things they have been working on in CMAO this week.👊🏼

During the week the campers have had opportunities to earn Kempo Kash (karate bucks) and today they received their “payout” to spend in the Kempo Kash store. 🎉😊

We also had our pizza party, lots of board breaking, Kempo training, Nerf battles, noodle wars and more!

Of most significance, Sensei Karen finished the weekly series on faith, with the good news of Jesus and how He saves us by grace, through faith in Him. 🙏🏼✝️

Thank you to all the families who entrusted their kiddos to us this week- I pray they had a great experience that will provide lifelong memories, skills and knowledge.

Thank you to our awesome group of young adult helpers without whom this week would have definitely not have been as successful- job well done! 👍🏼 😊

4 days done, the grand finale tomorrow!

We continued our Bible times on faith with a teaching and discussions on the story of Gideon. Trusting Him even when it doesn’t always make “sense” to us at the time! 🙏🏼

Lots of Kempo training including preparing for our showcase tomorrow and a few spiritual fitness stripes earned! Our leaders also demonstrated some advanced material with the campers to show some things they have to look forward to in their future journey. 🥋👊🏼

Obstacle courses, board breaking, sparring, crafts and more.

We have some great campers and amazing leaders - looking forward to Friday’s session. 🎉🎉🙏🏼✝️😊

Day #3 of our OMMA Summer Camp is almost done- lots of action today!

Today was “Nerf day,” so lots of Nerf gun training and full-fledged battles! We also did lots of Kempo, with a few students even earning a new stripe in their belts!👊🏼

Sensei Karen continued our series on faith with the story of Jericho and they marched around the “walls” of the city (made up of our leaders) seven times and saw them fall.

We also made 105 more Blessing Bags for the homeless which will be delivered to our local homeless ministry to distribute, as we continue to champion compassion and community service to demonstrate the love of Jesus. 🙏🏼✝️

One mom told me her kids told her they give the camp a 10 out of 10! We love to hear that- may we make much of Jesus the rest of the week!

We had a really good day at OMMA camp today as well, praise God!

Obstacle courses, ninja star battles, lots of martial arts and Sensei Karen leading the group through our continued Bible study theme of faith.

We discussed the faith of Joshua and the Israelites as they crossed the Jordan River.

Sensei Marco shared a discussion on various types of swords and how they tie into our training at OMMA (always a hit with the kids ⚔️). He also taught the kids some nunchaku, which most of these kids don’t get to experience in their regular training. Fun stuff!

Our young adult leaders did a great job again today, coaching, motivating and caring for the kids in their charge.

OMMA Summer Camp, Day #2 underway! Praying we can have another great day after a solid start yesterday! 🎉🙏🏼🙏🏼✝️🥋

Day #1 is going great so far! Bible lesson on faith and the Shield of Faith. Craft, games, martial arts, and group discussions.

Great group of kids this week!

What’s really exciting for me as well, is seeing such wonderful teen/young adult leaders teaching and caring for the kiddos. 😊🙏🏼✝️

Many of these helpers were students in our OMMA camps 5 or even 10 years ago! (Our first camp was in 2011)

Love seeing the leaders develop in our community!! Glory to God!
