Today we stepped outside the walls of the gym and into the community to speak with the incredible students in the Valencia College YouthBuild program about something we’re deeply passionate about:
What fitness can do for you.
Yes, fitness can make you stronger, healthier, and more capable physically—but that’s only the beginning.
Fitness teaches you to keep promises to yourself. It builds confidence through action, resilience through challenges, and discipline that carries into your career, relationships, and everyday life. It reminds you that you have more control over your future than you may realize.
As Allen shared today, fitness gives you the opportunity to reclaim your personal agency. Every workout is a chance to make a choice that moves your life forward. Those choices add up, and before long, you’re not just changing your body—you’re changing the way you approach life.
We’re so grateful to YouthBuild for inviting us to be part of today’s program.
If you’ve been thinking about starting your own fitness journey, we’d love to help you take that first step. Come try a class with us—you don’t have to be in shape to begin. You just have to be willing to start.
💙 How has fitness impacted your life beyond the physical? Has it improved your confidence, mental health, relationships, career, or something else? Share your story in the comments—we’d love to celebrate it with you.

Over the last 14 years, one of the coolest things about MouseTrap Fitness has been realizing just how far this community reaches. ❤️🌎
What started as a local CrossFit gym in Orlando has become a place that people return to year after year whenever life brings them back to Florida.
Some first found us during a Disney vacation.
Some while traveling for work.
Some through friends.
Some through CrossFit.
But what keeps bringing them back isn’t just the workout. It’s the feeling of walking through the doors and immediately feeling like part of the community.
Swipe through and check out what a few of our regular CrossFit drop-ins had to say. Their words reflect exactly what we hope every single person feels when they visit MouseTrap Fitness:
Welcomed.
Remembered.
Encouraged.
Included.
Whether someone trains with us for one class, one week, or every summer for years…they matter here.
To every drop-in who has ever trusted us with part of their vacation, work trip, or Orlando adventure — thank you. 💙You’ve helped shape this community more than you know.
And to our members who make this place feel so welcoming every single day…THIS is why people keep coming back.

14 years.
Thousands of classes.
Countless memories.
And so many people who helped shape what MouseTrap Fitness has become. 💙
As we celebrate our 14th anniversary week, we wanted to highlight a few of the longtime faces who have been part of this community through so many different seasons of life.
Members like Kristina, who joined just months after the gym first opened in 2012 and reminded us that:
“This community will celebrate YOUR milestones…whether that is placing first at a local comp, or simply using the regular barbell instead of the training bar.”
And members like Paul, who has spent the last decade showing up through every stage of life and shared:
“It’s okay to have a great day, or a super scaled day at the gym.”
That right there is the heart of MouseTrap Fitness.💫✨
Not perfection. Not comparison. Not needing to be the best athlete in the room.
We’re people showing up, supporting one another, and trying to become a little bit better every day.
These photos includes a few more longtime members who have helped make this place feel like home for so many people over the years. Some have been here since nearly the beginning. Others joined later and became part of the fabric of this community in their own way.
And this week, we’ll continue celebrating ALL phases of the MouseTrap story:
⭐️ longtime members
💪 our repeat drop-ins who became family
👏 and newer members just beginning their journey with us
Because whether you’ve been here for 14 years or 14 days…
you’re part of the story.
Thank you for helping us celebrate 14 years of CrossFit MouseTrap. 💙

Most people don’t walk into a CrossFit gym feeling confident. They walk in nervous. Unsure. Intimidated. Wondering if they’re “fit enough” to even begin.
We know that feeling because almost every single person here started the exact same way.
The hardest part is rarely the workout itself.
It’s walking through the door for the first time.
But what if the things you’re afraid of aren’t what you find here at all?
What if you found encouragement instead of judgment?
Support instead of pressure?
Community instead of comparison?
At MouseTrap Fitness, nobody expects perfection. We just want you to start.
And sometimes showing up for yourself for one hour can change a whole lot more than your fitness.
If you’ve been thinking about trying CrossFit, this is your sign to come see for yourself. ❤️
Drop a comment below if you’re ready to start! 💪💪

Memorial Day at MouseTrap Fitness 🇺🇸
Every year, Murph brings people together for something bigger than a workout—honoring sacrifice, embracing challenge, and showing up alongside our community.
This year we’ll be running a modified class schedule on Memorial Day Monday with Murph classes at:
▪️ 6:00 AM
▪️ 7:30 AM
▪️ 9:00 AM
⚠️ There will be NO other classes on Monday, so be sure to reserve your preferred class time early. We want to make sure everyone has enough equipment and rig space for the best experience possible.
After the final class, we’re hanging out for a community social + potluck! We’d love for everyone to stick around, recover together, and spend time with the Trapstar family.
✅ Bring a dish, snack, or drink to share
✅ Pop-up tents are encouraged for the back turf hangout
✅ Friends + drop-ins are welcome to join us for Murph!
Murph is a long grind and a workout that deserves some strategy and preparation. Start thinking now about your rep schemes, pacing, partitioning, and overall game plan. If this is your first Murph, talk with one of our coaches ahead of time so we can help set you up for success. If you’ve tackled this workout before but want to approach it differently this year, we’d love to help with that too. Our goal is to support every athlete in showing up prepared, confident, and ready to do hard things together. ❤️🤍💙

Your relationship with the barbell matters 🏋️♀️ That’s why we’ve partnered again with for the Barbell Confidence Workshop.
With coaching approach rooted in movement quality, education, and helping athletes build lasting confidence, this workshop helps you stop overthinking your lifts—and start understanding them. This is NOT a max-out session or strength clinic. This is a hands-on educational workshop focused on:
✔️ Repeatable setup routines
✔️ Understanding coaching cues
✔️ Improving body awareness and positioning
✔️ Refining technique with intention
✔️ Building confidence across ALL lifts
Because confidence creates consistency. And consistency builds strength.
🏋️ WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
If you:
Feel inconsistent with barbell movements
Struggle to connect coaching cues to actual movement
Want to feel more confident approaching the barbell
Love lifting, but want more clarity and control
…this workshop was built for you.
