11 months out. Achilles surgery. 6 weeks of serious training. And now this.

Jakob A. Ingebrigtsen wins the 5000m at the World Athletics Ultimate Championship in 12:59.24.

And of course, he did it his way.
1️⃣ Sit at the back.
2️⃣ Stay patient.
3️⃣ Then pass everyone in the final straight.

He came into 2026 with no races under his belt. He leaves Budapest as the Ultimate Champion. Not a bad comeback.
