Baseball is a game of errors. We make mistakes, learn from them, and hopefully the next time the ball comes our way, we know how to make the play.

Sometimes we learn the tough way. Sometimes it takes us longer than it should. Sometimes we don't learn at all.
But somewhere between the wins and losses, the good innings and the bad ones, baseball has a way of teaching lessons that have very little to do with the game itself.

Being a good teammate isn't always about what you do with the ball. Sometimes it's about stopping in the middle of the game, kneeling down in the dirt, and
No stat will record this moment. No scorebook will ever show that it happened.
But if baseball teaches them to kneel down and tie a teammate's shoes today, maybe they'll grow into men willing to wash someone's feet tomorrow.
Because at the end of the day, we're not just trying to raise better ballplayers.
