25 years ago, this was our New York City skyline. 🇺🇸
It’s hard to look at this photo and not feel something deep in your chest - knowing what was coming, knowing how many lives would be lost, and knowing how many families would wake up that morning never imagining it would be their last goodbye.
On September 11, 2001, we witnessed unimaginable evil. But we also witnessed incredible courage.
First responders ran toward what everyone else was running from.
Strangers carried strangers.
People prayed together.
Hugged tighter.
Loved harder.
And for a while, we remembered that despite our differences, we belonged to one another.
25 years later, may we never forget the nearly 3,000 lives taken that day.
May we never forget the heroes who gave everything.
May we never forget the families who have carried that loss every day since.
And maybe today, we can remember something else too - the way we came together afterward.
The kindness.
The unity.
The faith.
The reminder that life is precious and tomorrow is never promised.
At Stackhouse, we talk a lot about strength. But this is the kind of strength that matters most - courage, sacrifice, faith, and showing up for one another.
God bless the families who still carry this loss.
God bless our first responders and military.
And God bless America. 🇺🇸
We remember.
We honor.
We will never forget.
9.11.2001. 25 years.
