Forget the rocking chair—National Gorgeous Grandma Day on July 23 is a chance to celebrate women who keep trying new things. The Omaha Tap-Dancing Grannies have been proving that point for years, with a 17-member tap troupe that brings lots of energy and plenty of personality to performances around the metro.

“When you have something like dance when you’re younger, it all comes back to you,” dancer Diane Huerta said.

Congrats to our grad, Lily Bygrave!

Lily started dancing at age 4, and joined SDA back in 2014.

We’ve watched her grow up in our studio and can proudly say her talent, hard work, and dedication increased every year, making her a great teammate and role model for our younger dancers.

Lily is graduating from Bellevue West and will pursue a Major in Exercise Science with a Minor in Dance at KU.

Your SDA Family is rooting for you, Lily ❤️we’ll miss you!

Cassandra Mata, today we’re celebrating you!

Cassandra has been dancing since she was 6, and officially joined our family, and our competition team, in 2021.

In the years we’ve had her in class, we’ve watched her talent absolutely soar! She’s a natural performer, and we’ll never get tired of watching her on stage!

Cassandra’s heading to Mildland University in the fall to continue dancing and study psychology.

Congrats, Cassandra 🫶 we are so proud of you!!

This week we’re celebrating our 2026 SDA Graduates, starting with Braelynn Bossow! 🤍

Braelynn’s been dancing since she was 4, and has been gracing our stage since 2017! Her sweet and kind personality shines bright in class, and she has a special way of making every dance she does perfectly unique.

Braelynn’s heading to Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in the fall to study graphic design, and we have no doubt she’ll accomplish incredible things!

Good luck next year, Braelynn ⭐️ you’ll be so missed!!
