Omaha Fencing Club

Congrats to OFC fencer Timothy who Traveled to Iowa City this week to fence in their Firefly Open.

This weekend we had 11 fencers travel down to Lincoln Fencing Club for the annual Cornhusker State Games. It was great seeing club members and old friends all together for 3 days of Fencing.

Another Spring Steel is behind us... Much fun, and some FANTASTIC fencing was had! 16 novice fencers joined us for a hefty tournament. Two pools of 8, which meant a lot of stabbity-stab to share with everyone.

Spirits and sportsmanship were at an all time high. We really enjoyed watching the fencers adapt and overcome the challenges laid in front of them. Congratulations to all!

We hope everyone (and more) joins us for the Cornhusker State Games this summer.

Remember to always tuck in your gear the night before a tournament!

Winter's (hopefully) last gasp has closed down schools tomorrow, so there will be no fencing, Friday 2/20. Reminder that if Omaha Public Schools have a weather closure, then Montclair (and us by extension) are closed as well.

On Saturday, come root on our Omaha fencers in Lincoln as they compete at the aptly named Icicle Invitational. There are nearly 50 fencers signed up to compete, representing 12 clubs from around the region! Fencing starts at 11am, with the final bouts starting around 4~5pm.

After the tournament concludes, we'll go grab a team dinner nearby. Come hang out, enjoy each other's company and we regale each other with tales of victory!

Quick reminder that there is no class tomorrow, November 19th as Montclair is holding a volleyball camp in the gym.
