Mental note for next time…remind our participants fish stay in the lake. 🥲🤭🫣 In all seriousness, THIS is why we do what we do.
Because 15 participants did a phenomenal job tonight. These families got individualized attention, encouragement, and opportunities. They learned water safety and skills that make sense for THEM.
Confidence was gained and memories were made. Can’t ask for a better night. ☀️🚣

If you’ve been wondering why our social media has been quiet…I got engaged! I love, love, love what I’ve created with All-Inclusive Aquatics and Tanner is endlessly supportive of my type A antics; wanting to do everything for everyone, everywhere, all the time.
And that takes a special kind of man. Because what you may not know is that even with the 150+ people we get in our 5 pools every week between swim, aquatic OT, PT, and speech-language therapy we don’t have a secretary, scheduler, billing assistant, insurance rep, event coordinator, social media person, or any other help behind the scenes. It’s all me!
I’ll be back to the pool on the 13th, but until then may not respond to emails, calls, or inquiries promptly. If you send a cancellation notification, I promise our team is receiving the messages even if you don’t get a response.
As an accidental -but incredibly grateful and proud- solo entrepreneur, it is difficult for me to create (and adhere to) a work/life balance.
Thank you to everyone who has helped All-Inclusive Aquatics grow to where we are today, I appreciate your support more than you’ll ever know and will be back soon!

Santi and his family had an absolutely unforgettable experience at the lake this morning for our adaptive and inclusive wakesurfing! 🌊☀️🏄🏻♂️
We encouraged Santiago to get on the lake, but honored his preference to stay on the boat. Santi let his sister try out wakesurfing while he helped drive the boat, wave the flag, and throw the rope when surfers were ready to get back on.
He was safe, supported, and couldn’t stop smiling the entire time! In our book, that’s a win. 🤍
Thank you Fort Wake LLC and Camp Outpost Inc. for creating opportunities, providing access, and being ready to adapt…You’re amazing!
If you’re a family wanting to get on the lake, check out our upcoming events here:

Happy Father’s Day to those lucky enough to have the title of dad!
We see everything you do for your loved ones and want to give you special recognition. You love them unconditionally and support them every step of the way. Your presence for these kids goes the extra mile.
They see how you don’t hesitate to get back in the kayak and prove what determination looks like-even if that means facing the reality that your son might tip the kayak sending you both into the lake…again.
They see the way your eyes beam with pride when they try something new, whether it’s flawless or less than perfect.
They see that you’re patient while helping them with the same motor movements for the thousandth time because their brain still won’t connect with their body the way they want.
They see that you might not like pictures, but you make the silly face and smile for the camera anyway.
They see that you’ve had a long day at work and have no interest in hearing another song from kpop demon hunters, but you play the soundtrack anyway.
To all the dads out there; thank you for raising such amazing human beings. Happy Father’s Day!

June 21st is SYNGAP1 Awareness Day! SYNGAP1-Related Disorders (SRD) are ultra-rare genetic disorders caused by a variant on the SYNGAP1 gene of the 6th chromosome. An individual with a SYNGAP1-Related Disorder may have difficulties or delays of fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, low muscle tone, coordination, and vision. As of 2026, there are less than 2,000 cases identified worldwide, with over 400 of them being in the United States.
We have our very own Syngap1 warrior and want to celebrate her today! Miss Ida is a giggly ball of energy that loves coming to aquatic occupational therapy. During her sessions, Ida works on gaining skills to promote her independence with activities that are meaningful for her and her family! Throughout all of Ida's splashing and laughing, she is working hard on...
-Improving her range of motion, strength, balance, and coordination when playing basketball,
-Refining her hand-eye coordination when she is trying to catch a floating toy that keeps moving because of the waves,
-Strengthening her fingers when we do our choo-choos around the pool wall,
-Engaging her core to balance on floats when she starts to roll over
-Safely navigating an exciting environment that is always changing; maybe the music is louder than normal, the splash pad is on, a thunderstorm is making the pool area have less than ideal lighting, or there are families during open swim that Ida wants to play with.
We love supporting Ida's development and enjoy seeing all the things she is learning to do! To learn more about SYNGAP1-Related Disorders (SRD) you can visit the following:

While looking through old pictures, Ms. Megan found the sweetest connection with her swimmer, Layla. In 2018 Ms. Megan was a queen candidate for the Santa Lucia Festival Omaha, NE and Layla was another queen candidate's flower girl!
It's a small world and Layla was so shocked she and Ms. Megan had met almost 10 years earlier, that Layla had to ask if the picture was AI!

✨Swimmer Spotlight: JJ!✨
JJ is a loving 10 (almost 11!) year old boy with autism who enjoys showing off for others. When he signed up for our lessons a couple summers ago, JJ was so excited to learn how to swim. JJ would yell at anyone nearby to watch him and give him two thumbs up! But then…he would pause on the steps or zero-depth entry to the pool while yelling “Don’t touch me”, even if nobody was touching him. One thing about JJ is that respect and trust are absolutely everything for him. So every time we heard his tell-tale communication that we were nearing a boundary between feeling safe and feeling uncomfortable we focused on validating his words, emotions, and providing lots of encouragement.
Over the years, JJ has learned to trust a number of our instructors, use his belly breaths when he’s anxious, LOVES jumping in the pool, and is ALWAYS ready for a turn on the big red slide! While JJ happily participates during lessons and continues to make progress, he hasn’t been comfortable trying to float or walk around the pool unless he’s supported by the wall or an instructor.
So we got creative. 3 weeks ago, JJ used our water walker during his lessons for the first time. The difference it has made is nothing short of amazing. He’s now comfortable walking in the middle of the pool and lazy river without an instructor holding him, making his body float while kicking without adult help while in the middle of the pool, and leaning into the walker on his back to begin back floating! All these things used to trigger a tremendous amount of anxiety of JJ, but they are now accessible for him. Not just that, but they are exciting for him!
JJ wouldn’t have been able to make so many strides in such a short amount of time if it weren’t for the Sports For Kids Foundation - Omaha and their incredible donation of the water walker. 👏👏

Our goal is to give families unforgettable experiences where they can learn about water sports and lake safety in a welcoming environment. Support staff is trained in water rescues, paddle instruction, surf instruction, and adapting to intellectual, physical, developmental, communication, and sensory differences. We are here to support YOU and YOUR family.
Social narratives are available, we will have a variety of coast guard approved lifejackets, and encourage regulation supports such as headphones, chewies, or whatever else makes your loved one feel safe. If you sign up and your loved one would rather watch or is becoming overwhelmed with the environment, we can take a step back and alter the experience to be meaningful for them without making them feel pressured to go on the water.
