July means Blue & Gold Volleyball Camps!

One of the things that makes AVC special is the connection we have with UNK Volleyball. Throughout the month, AVC coaches work alongside the UNK coaching staff and players to help provide a great camp experience for athletes. Still plenty more this month! Sports in Kansas Volleyball Player to Watch: Abbey McNeal, Andale, Sr. OH

Abbey McNeal returns for her senior season as one of the top outside hitters in Kansas after helping Andale capture the Class 4A state championship with a 36-1 record in 2025. The 5-foot-9 senior earned First Team All-State and Class 4A State All-Tournament Team honors following a dominant junior campaign. McNeal finished last season with 349 kills and a .290 hitting percentage after totaling 261 kills as a sophomore, giving her 610 career kills entering her final high school season. Already committed to the University of Nebraska Kearney, where she plans to study pre-chiropractic, McNeal has established herself as one of the state's premier attackers while also excelling in track and field with a third-place finish in the javelin at the 2025 Class 4A State Meet.

With another talented group returning, McNeal believes Andale has everything it needs to make another run at a state title. "I'm really excited about the upcoming season," McNeal said. "We have the talent, and I believe we have everything it takes to win another state championship. I'm looking forward to my senior year at Andale and I can't wait to see what this season has in store!" Alongside standout teammates Reagan Winter, Abbi Winter and Kate McHatton, McNeal will once again be a driving force as Andale looks to defend its Class 4A crown.
