Grady and I fished the Our Future 402 308 Anglers adult/kid tournament today!! We ended up taking 4th place!! It was a grind of a day but we had a blast getting out! Thanks Brent Bailar - First Priority Insurance Agent for putting together a great tournament for the kids!

This week we have had a lot of dead hot days which made it tough to get out but this morning I got to take the boys out for a short bit! We had a blast hanging out and catchin fish!! The big of the morning was 3lbs 5oz on the Berkley Fishing Moeba!

Got our results from this past weekend’s tournament at Green Valley Lake in Iowa. My good buddy Jeramiah subbed in for my fishing partner and we ended up finishing in 7th with 15.78lbs. We had a blast of a day!! Caught my first fish on the Berkley Moeba. Lost a giant on a Spro Spook bait. But all in all it was a fun day of fishing!!

We got one more tournament to go to finish out the NBAA Nebraska - Division 55 season! We are sitting in 12th place in the points standings. Diego Andrade and I just need to move up one more place to qualify for Nationals!

Grady and I got up bright and early this morning to fish the Casting For A Cause 50 mile march fundraiser!! Grady was quite the net man today!! He netted every fish we got to the boat! This 3 year old boy is going to be quite the hammer in the future world of bass fishing! Thanks James Leggett for putting this outing together!!

I fished out at Prairie Queen today and it was a bit of a grind after Grady left the boat around 10am! My big was 17” and my best 5 went for 75” on the dot. I ended up finishing 15th out 59 anglers! Had a blast being out on the water with my little man though!

Well the boys had Junior State today out at Sherman Reservoir in Loup City NE! It was a 3 fish limit and unfortunately the boys were only able to land one keeper! They had 4 fish jump out of the water and spit the hook that would have kept! They never gave up though and continued to grind it out!! They did however finish in 3rd place!!

Things they said they learned!
1. How to step back and set the hook when fishing a Texas Rig.
2. That breaking down and figuring out a new lake is not a very easy thing to do.

Tournament #2 of the season is in the books this past weekend! My partner Diego and I absolutely smashed em!! Started off getting rained on for the first couple hours with a fun top water bite! Followed by a fun chatterbait bite culling multiple times!! However turns out the rest of the field smashed em pretty well too!! We had 15.4lbs and finished 11th and it was less than a 1lb difference between us and 6th place!! Either way it was fun!

Next up the young guns Zeik and Levi have Junior State!!

Well thats a rap!! First tournament of the year and a big one at that is out of the way! Zeik and I finished 108th out of 141 teams. Day one we lost some key fish and we didn’t quite figure out the bite day two and yesterday we started off hot but 2 hours in and my trolling motor decided it wasn’t going to turn left anymore. We grinned it out and finished with a 3 day total weight of 19lbs 10oz. We may not have had the finish we wanted but boy did we have a great time and great experience catching tons of fish together!! This will be an experience neither of us will ever forget!
