A special shoutout to all of my players for giving maximum effort throughout this tournament.
There wasn’t one player who played harder than another. Every Bulldog left it all on the court to represent their family, our program, and the great state of Nebraska. For that, I am incredibly proud of each and every one of them.
But there was one moment that stood above the rest.
In a win-or-go-home Championship Bracket game against a tough and scrappy team from North Carolina, one player stepped into the biggest moment of the day and delivered.
With the game on the line and everything at stake, he knocked down a fearless shot that helped clinch our spot in the next round.
It takes courage. It takes belief. It takes supreme confidence to take — and make — a shot like that when the pressure is at its highest.
Big players make big plays in big moments.
Keep shining young Bulldog and tune out the noise. When your light shines bright, the more negative noise will try to dim it.
