OCC Lady Knights Basketball

Todays summer spotlight is on Freshman Guard Taylyn Banta. Taylyn hails from Akron, Ohio. She played at Reynoldsburg HS- Summit Campus where she was one of the areas top players.

Taylyn was part of two District 3 championship teams during her freshman and junior seasons. After battling through an ACL injury that challenged her both physically and mentally, Taylyn came back stronger, more determined, and hungrier for the game.

Her toughness, leadership, and ability to overcome adversity are just a few of the qualities that make her such a special addition to the Lady Knights. We can’t wait to see everything she brings to the court!

First day of classes 2026-27

Over the last couple days the Lady Knights and the rest od the athletic department took a CPR and First Aid Class to all get certified.

Today's Lady Knight summer spotlight is on incoming Freshman Hayleigh Franklin. Hayleigh is from Ava, Illinois and attended Trico High School.

Hayleigh is also a member of the Lady Knight softball team. She joins a growing list of players who have competed on the court and on the field for OCC. We are excited to see her bring her talents to Olney.

Today's summer spotlight is Bridgeport, Illinois native Caitlee Gray. Caitlee attended Red Hill HS and will be a freshman with the Lady Knights this season!

As a Saluki, Caitlee surpassed the 1,000 point career mark this past season. She is a hard worker and brings toughness to the Lady Knights. Fun fact, Coach Baker is a 1976 graduate of Red Hill HS as well.

We are excited to welcome Caitlee to Olney this season.

Today' Summer Spotlight is on Princeton, Indiana native Raven Jones. Raven is another incoming member of the Lady Knight freshman class.

Raven brings range to the team and has ability to knock down shots from long range. In her senior year Raven knocked down a 3/4 court shot for a game winner!

We are excited to have another Princeton Tiger joining the family!

Today's summer spotlight is on incoming Freshman Julia Lashley. Julia hails from Hoosier country, Bloomington, Indiana where she attended Bloomington South High School.

In high school Julia was a member of the 1,000 point scorer and in the summer played for the Zeller families Distinxion program. Julia can play multiple positions and brings a lot of versatility on both sides of the ball.

Today's Summer Spotlight is incoming Freshman Calajia Mason. Calajia hails from Earlington, KY and attended Hopkins County Central HS.

Calajia brings a next level intensity to the defensive side of the ball for the Lady Knights. However, she also finished as the second leading scorer at Hopkins County Central for women's basketball. We are excited to welcome Calajia to the Lady Knight family!!

Today's summer spotlight is on incoming freshman Rayci Phelps. Rayci is from McLeansboro, IL and attending Hamilton County HS. where she was a multi-sport athlete.

On the court Rayci surpassed 2,000 career points enroute to becoming the schools all-time leader in points for boy's and girl's basketball. We are very excited to have her joining the Lady Knight family and ready to watch her scoring points in the Dungeon.
