Fall riding tip you don't hear very often:

πŸ‚ Pay extra attention to shaded sections of your route.

As mornings get cooler, shaded pavement can stay damp longer than the road around it β€” especially under trees or near irrigated landscaping.

Add early fallen leaves and you've got a surface that can be surprisingly slick.

Slow down before the corner, not while you're in it.

Very German advice: efficiency is good. Traction is better. πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ

The forecast says β€œpartly cloudy.”

The road says β€œsurprise.”

Late summer and early fall are when fenders start earning their keep. Morning moisture, random showers, sprinkler runoff and wet roads can turn a clean commute into a very dirty one.

SKS fenders help keep the spray off your back, your bike and the person riding behind you.

Because β€œI didn’t think it was going to rain” is not a stain-removal strategy.

Your bike does not have to look like it rode through a swamp just because the road was damp.

Fenders help reduce the constant spray of grit, water and road grime that ends up on your frame, drivetrain and clothes.

Here is where the quick and easy Speedrocker XL comes in.

Less mess. Less cleanup. More riding.

That feels like a pretty good trade.

You checked the weather last night.

0% chance of rain.

You walk outside at 8 AM.

Road: wet.
Bike: clean.
Your pants: about to have a very bad morning.

This is why commuters run fenders. 😏

SKS fenders help keep road spray where it belongs β€” off you and your bike.

Because walking into class with a stripe of road grime up your back is one way to make an entrance.

Just not the one we'd

Some students take the minimum credits.

The SKS MIA 12 signed up for everything. πŸ”§ (if you want something larger use the Tom Tools!)

Except this one fits in your bike bag.

School. Work. Groceries. Weekend ride. Repeat. 🚲

Your bike has a busy schedule too.

The SKS INFINITY UNIVERSAL Rack gives you a practical way to carry more and wear less on your back β€” perfect for everyday commuting, campus rides and those β€œI’ll just pick up one thing on the way home” stops that somehow become five.

Before Monday morning gets Monday-ish...

Give your bike 60 seconds.

Tires look good? Pressure ok?
Brakes feel good?
No loud chain?
Any rattles?

One minute tonight can save you from standing next to your bike tomorrow morning saying words we probably shouldn't put on Instagram.

Your bike doesn't need a full inspection every morning.

It just appreciates a little attention.

Your backpack doesn't have to do all the work.

Moving some of your load onto the bike can make everyday commuting a whole lot more comfortable.

Think bike bags for:

πŸ’» School/work gear
πŸ§₯ Extra layer
πŸ”§ Tools
πŸ₯ͺ Lunch
πŸ”’ Lock
β˜” Rain gear

And here's the underrated benefit: when fall temperatures bounce from chilly mornings to warm afternoons, you've got somewhere to stash the layers you peel off.

Your shoulders will approve.

You have an 8 AM class.

It's 7:42.

Would you rather:

A) Ride your bike 🚲
B) Hunt for parking πŸš—
C) Sprint across campus because you parked three zip codes away πŸƒ

We're choosing A.

What's your answer? πŸ‘‡
