HISTORY ON DISPLAY AT WILEY POST AIRPORT
This morning I heard the unmistakable roar of a historic aircraft as it passed over my house. On checking I found that the B-29 "Fifi" had flown into Oklahoma City for a few days of static display and rides.
Also arriving in the next few days are a C-45 transport, a PT-13 Stearman biplane and an AT-6 Texan. All are World War 2 era planes. For $20 you can go to the airport location on NW 50th and see the planes up close. Rides in these planes will also be available from $150 and up. These are all historic aircraft that will soon only be found in museums. So if you want an amazing flying experience, take a look at the link below and give some thought to having the experience your grandparents had. Or at least stop by and have a look at the planes. They will be there Wednesday through Monday (9/2-7) from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM; after that it is too hot for both flying and viewing.

The bicycle is its own best argument. You just get a bike, try it; start going with the thing and using it as it suits you. It'll grow and it gets better and better and better.

THIS MAN WAS A TRUE HERO
I grew up with the veterans of World War 2 as relatives, neighbors and teachers. Those people stood up for their country when it needed them. And some stand out above the rest. Dorie Miller was one of those. I will not comment further other than to say his patriotism and heroism stand far above that of any politician I have ever seen.
