We are excited to announce the second annual Beaver’s Bend Kayak Classic. In partnership with Oklahoma Kayak, and many other great sponsors, we have created the state's largest kayak fishing tournament for both new and experienced anglers. Just like last year, many will come for the fellowship and fun, while some come to be a bit more competitive. We offer big prizes for no matter which group suit
s your fishing style. Kayak fishing is growing quickly in other parts of the country with other large-scale tournaments growing by 40% each year. Last year we had 76 participants, donated $3100 to a children's cancer charity, and threw over 15K in cash and prizes at anglers, even if they didn't catch a single fish. This year promises even more. Kayak fishing is a sport that offers both competition and affordability. Today, competitive fishing is attainable for everyone. This sport has the potential to unite a large group of people due to the adaptability of the kayak to suit any person regardless of size or disability. Oklahoma Kayak will present this kayak fishing tournament to not only bring further attention to this growing sport, but to also benefit a local charity, This year, we have chosen Team River Runner, a nonprofit organization that helps veterans heal through paddlesport recreation.
