We were so excited to welcome Jemale Darby to 8 Count for our Community Class this week!

Jemale is a talented hip-hop dancer, choreographer, and instructor whose journey began with battle dancing and freestyling before taking his passion into professional performance and education.

Today, Jemale continues to share his experience as an instructor and mentor, helping dancers build confidence, creativity, musicality, individuality, and a genuine connection to hip-hop culture.

We’re so grateful he shared his knowledge, energy, and love for the art form with our community.

We’re excited to welcome Jemale Darby to 8 Count Studio!

Jemale is a hip-hop dancer, choreographer, and instructor whose journey began with battle dancing and freestyle before growing into a professional career.

He has performed with Band of Misfits, The Groovement Community, Race the Space Dance Collective, and Generation Why, with performance experience across the U.S. and internationally, including U.S. military bases in Germany.

With years of experience teaching and mentoring dancers, Jemale brings more than choreography to the room. His classes focus on musicality, confidence, creativity, individuality, and a genuine connection to hip-hop culture.
