This is who is to me… a woman who instinctively knows when a hug & encouragement is needed. I refuse to repost the midnight madman’s racist rant on my page. Instead I choose to do what she did for me on this day… I choose to center her and her personhood, her compassion and love for others, her beauty, and her grace. It is black history month & I encourage each of you to truly reflect on the REAL history of black people in this country and try to understand why so many people are continuing to say that our country is still not where it should be. The tone is set at the top! If he’s this openly racist in his social media posts, what do you think he’s peddling in his policies?!

Oh and we still aren’t letting the Epstein files go… you tried it though. Mark your calendars - I’m deposing Maxwell on Monday and Bondi is FINALLY pulling up to Judiciary. I’m focused.

Let’s disrupt the algorithm for the better and share gorgeous photos of President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama.

These two did so much for our nation during their years of service.

President Obama’s popularity, success and vocal objections to the actions of ICE prompted our White Nationalist President to share a racist video of the two of them that definitely demonstrated that his hatred of all non white races, especially black people and Latinos, is the driving force behind his policies.

When we share our outrage via the news stories or worse still with the video, we are driving the video to the top of the algorithm.

Be an ally and flood the algorithm with powerful pictures that show what true dedication to family and to our nation looks like.

In just over a week, on Tuesday, February 10th, Oklahoma City will elect our Mayor for the next four years.

There's a lot going on in the world, so it's quite possible you haven't heard much about this vital election yet. But the lack of coverage doesn't reflect the level of importance. The Oklahoma City mayoral election matters to your daily life, probably more than any vote you'll cast this year.

Together, we have ushered in Oklahoma City's golden age. Our economy is strong. MAPS 4 is bringing 16 new quality-of-life projects to our city. Our bond issue is bringing nearly $3 billion in funding for our streets and core infrastructure. Our NBA Champs are secure beyond 2050 in a new arena, and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics are on their way. We have achieved things we never imagined possible, and we have done it together, as ONE OKC. Oklahoma City is the national model for effectiveness and unity.

I'm asking for your vote next Tuesday. And if you'd like a yard sign, drop by this week, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm, to the OKC Professional Firefighters Association at 157 NW 6th Street.
