The sombrero-wearin’, low-ridin’, deuce-Kickin’ for Chicken legend is coming back for YEAR 16. 🤠🏈

Ernesto Lacayo is returning to the San Diego Strike Force for another season, bringing 16 years of experience, a veteran presence, and one of the most recognizable personalities in the league back to San Diego.

From game-winning kicks to celebrations that became part of the show, Lacayo has given Strike Force fans plenty of moments to remember. Now, he’s back for another chapter.

OUR HEAD COACH IS HERE TO STAY.

We’re excited to announce that Head Coach Taylor Genuser has signed an extension with the San Diego Strike Force through the 2028 season.

Coach Genuser has helped set the standard for what we’re building here in San Diego, and we’re excited to continue that work together. The expectations are high, the foundation is in place, and the goal remains the same: bring a championship to the beach.

WELCOME BACK TO THE BEACH 🌊

Kiael Kelly is back in San Diego after making an immediate impact during his rookie campaign.

A straight red zone killer, Kelly accounted for 17 total touchdowns, finding the end zone 11 times on the ground while adding 6 through the air.

Year one was just the introduction. Now Kiael is back, ready to build on that rookie season and keep making plays for the Strike Force.

BACK FOR 2027.

Adam Shackleford is officially returning to the San Diego Strike Force, continuing his role in building the organization, recruiting talent and helping shape the future of the franchise.

With the 2027 season already taking shape, Coach Shack has his sights set on building a championship-caliber roster and keeping some important pieces in San Diego.

“I look forward to continuing my efforts to build the San Diego Strike Force into a championship-caliber organization. We are already very busy recruiting the best players across the country.

My biggest goal in the upcoming weeks is to finalize an extension for our Head Coach, Taylor Genuser. We believe strongly that San Diego, North County and Oceanside will continue to draw high-caliber talent to the Indoor Football League.”

Coming off an impressive rookie campaign, running back Tyrell Greene Jr. from Baltimore is officially returning to San Diego for his second season with the Strike Force.

Greene made an immediate impact in his first year and now returns as another key piece of the offense as San Diego looks to build on last season and make another run at a championship.

While the San Diego Strike Force season ending wasn’t what we hoped for, I’m still dancing because this season was full of fun memories.

A huge thank you to the entire Strike Force organization, especially Beau Doiron for bringing me in and to the fans for being the best 9th man in the Indoor Football League! 🎤🏈💚🖤💛
