Super Girl Festival Series Tour Stop #1 brought out an amazing lineup of ams, pros, and a real mix of riding disciplines — roller skaters, skateboarders, and inline skaters all showing up for it.

A seriously positive weekend filled with messages of empowerment, belonging, and plenty of stoke. ❤️

After the contest, Giovanni Davila, Bryce Ava Wettstein, and I stayed to film some doubles runs to go with the beautiful sunset, because the after session is just as good as the contest itself.

Supergirl Pro is every day. Pass it on.
Next stop: Virginia Beach. 👀

Thanks to everyone who showed up, supported, skated, and kept it going. 🙌

Don’t Get Screwed?! 🔩

There’s a lot of great things named Phillips. Vodka. Legendary skateboarder Jeff Phillips. Phillips head screws on your ramp build? Not one of them 🚫

They fill up with debris, hold water, and turn into a nightmare to remove once they strip out.

The move: 6-point torque-head screws. They grab tighter than almost anything else out there, hold up for years, and won’t leave you fighting a stripped screw head mid-build.

Don’t wait until you’re standing on the job site to find out what you’re getting. Spec it tightly in advance — materials, hardware, every detail.

And whoever you’re buying from or building with, demand a detailed spec sheet before you sign anything.

That’s how you don’t get screwed

Considering a home mini ramp build or other skateable terrain?

Get educated. Look at the details. Examine them.

What are the finishes like? What are the technical specs? Are the materials, design, features, and benefits clear — and are they real?

That’s what you should be buying based on. Not the box, the back of a mini ramp, or a graphically enhanced product photo.

From the most indestructible kick ramps, to hybrid concrete-and-wood builds, to state-of-the-art skateable graphics technology — we want you to see the depth of detail that goes into every type of build we create.

The devil really is in the details.

Nobody’s perfect. But it’s what we strive for.

Let’s build something together that you are proud to show everyone who visits.

Michigan doesn’t make backyard skating easy. Summer dumps rain, winter dumps everything else.

Tyler Ctr Danneffel built around both: a personal skatepark under an aluminum roof, open year-round while most of the state waits for a dry Saturday.

Phase one is done: two mini ramps crossing each other. No bowl yet, but it’s already multidirectional, you pick a unique line instead of just going back and forth.

Custom prefabricated corners come next, and that’s when the whole thing closes up and flows as one bowl.

Green Gatorskins Skateboard Surface, schedule 40 coping, and the infamous Ramparts Cantilever system, built entirely to Tyler’s spec. He’s the host with the most, and the sessions are just getting started.

Thanks for everything, Tyler!

Friends don’t let friends buy 1 layer of ply ⚠️

Time and pressure carved the Grand Canyon. They’ll do the same thing to a mini ramp built wrong.

The and ramp industry standard has long been two layers of plywood subsheeting under the , Gatorskins Skateboard Surface or Baltic Birch riding surface. There are very few builds where you’d use anything less.

Here’s the part that isn’t a matter of opinion:

One layer cannot overlap its own seams. Wherever a sheet ends, the joint underneath your riding surface has nothing bridging it. The second layer exists to cross those seams, so no joint in the structure is ever carrying the surface alone.

On a mini ramp with multiple box sections, that’s what ties the boxes into one structure instead of a row of pieces sitting next to each other.

It spreads impact loads across the structure instead of concentrating them at a seam, which means less movement, less stress on fasteners, and a surface that holds up to years of skating and weather.

A top layer flexing over an unsupported seam is a crack with a date on it.
Ask any builder how they handle the seams. If the answer is one layer, they don’t.

One layer saves the builder a sheet of plywood. It doesn’t save you anything. It moves the cost from their invoice to your repair bill, and you won’t find out for 6-months or next season..

Every Ramparts Cantilever mini ramp ships with two layers of subsheeting and every subsheet seam overlapped. Not as an upgrade. That’s just the build.

So if anybody tries to sell you one layer of subsheeting:

DON’T DO IT‼️

Two layers. Always.

__
Backstory: Don’t Do It is a nod to Consolidated Skateboards’ “Don’t Do It” campaign, which called out the big shoe brands buying their way into skateboarding in the ‘90s. Different fight. Same idea. Know what you’re buying, and who’s building it.

Customer build update! 🔥⚒️🔥

Tyler Ctr Danneffel won the Dern Skateboarding “Derns Were Here” promo, and he came out to say what’s up to the build team.

Just got this quick POV while the mini bowl with extensions is going up. Framing’s moving fast, with more progress coming over the next few days.

Shoutout to the build team in Michigan ☀️

More build clips and bowl session coming right up…!

This one deserved a gallery moment.

So many epic photos, build clips, and star lapses came through from Satisfied and Ian Schneider that a single shot was never going to cut it.

Earlier this week we shared Jeanette’s story 👉 a Mother’s Day mini ramp 3 years in the making. Here’s a closer look at the ramp itself: 2.5 ft tall, 8 ft wide, sitting right next to her daughter’s playground in her Des Moines backyard.
