The Worcester County Veterans Memorial Foundation is seeking sponsors and golfers for the 19th Annual Veterans Memorial Golf Tournament on Wednesday, September 16, at Ocean Pines Golf Club.

Proceeds support the Foundation’s educational programs, including field trips for Worcester County 5th graders to the Veterans Memorial.

Registration: $150 per player
Sponsorships: $125–$2,000

Golfers enjoyed a wonderful day at the 19th Annual Ernie Stiles Memorial Bavarian Hops Golf Classic, sponsored by the OPGMC on Friday, August 28. The event supports Diakonia and the Worcester County Humane Society, two charities dear to Ernie.

Congratulations to all winners, including Fritz Lahner for Closest to the Pin and Kitty Sawchak, who generously donated her 50/50 winnings back to the charities.

A special thank-you to Don McMullen, John O’Connell, Tiffany, and The Clubhouse Bar and Grille staff for making the event a success!

2026 Pink Lady Golf Tournament October 7

The following is a press release from the Ocean Pines Ladies Golf Association:

(August 25, 2026) The Ocean Pines Ladies Golf Association will host their annual Pink Lady “Courage & Unity” Golf Tournament on Wednesday, October 7.

The Ocean Pines Ladies Golf Association (OPLGA) supports the Tidal Health Atlantic Women's Diagnostic Center. Over the last 14 years, the OPLGA has raised over $67,000 to support this, Center. The Proceeds help to provide mammograms and other lifesaving measures for women in our area who are unable to afford these services.

This year’s tournament begins with a sh***un start for 18-holes at 9:00 a.m. and 9-holes at 11:00. The registration fee is $125 for 18 holes and $95 for 9 holes. Registration covers green fees, cart fees, range balls, grab and go breakfast, luncheon, mulligan, two drink tickets, music with Sunny Dawn, awards for men/ladies/mixed teams, and closest to the pin on the Par 3's and Straightest drive on #4. There will also be door prizes, 50/50 drawing, and silent auction items.

This year our Platinum sponsor is "Touch Of Italy" who provides food and beverages for our Ocean Pines community.
