Velocity Pitching

Let me talk about Allie for just a minute. Allie came to me at the end of the summer, looking for accuracy, speed, and some different pitches. We struggled with lots of arm path and elbow issues. We had some pretty rough lessons while we made corrections. But she came back every time hungry to learn. And not only has she gained considerable speed, she is absolutely destroying the zone. And her change up is looking unhittable. This is what hard work does for an athlete. She has a new sense of pride! amazing job!!

Stella was feeling very tense in her forearm last night and struggling to get her fingers behind the ball at release. We worked a silly little drill so that she could feel her snap and the ball rolling off her fingertips. She also hit a new PR of 56. AMAZING!!!

Valor has worked so hard every week making improvements, building stamina and learning the mental game. Today she ended our lesson with 20 strikes out of 23 pitches. This is what happens when you have a dedicated athlete driven to be better and parents that support that dream. Awesome job to Valor and her parents, Dustin and Val. 🩷🔥🩷

Avery worked on a field today in preparation for a tournament coming up. We learned that not all field conditions will be excellent. Lots of soft dirt today and it was definitely an adjustment. Keep killing it Avery. 🩷🩷

Just when your pitcher has everything figured out, we pick up (or go back to) a bad habit. Don’t worry, it’s completely normal 🩷. We had to go back and work hips and finish with Jolene today. Love her willingness to learn and relearn things 😃. Awesome job Jolene.
