Yesterday, I was talking with our Dean of Students, Lauren Stidham, PCC, CPIC, and we discussed an age-old coaching truth.

Whether you are a business coach, an executive coach, or a health coach… after session three, it is all life coaching.

Why? Because you are coaching a whole person. There is no way out of this truth. In transformational coaching, we don’t coach compartments of the self; we coach toward the integration of self.

In July, the ICF posted about the three trends to watch for in coaching, and one of them was specializing.

This is a reminder that while you can specialize as a coach to grow a strong business, the best specialization is whole-person, is generative and is embedded in the pathways to integration.

It is coaching the agenda beneath the agenda and coaching to what is not being said that the doors to transformation open. This is because transformation ripens at the roots.

If you feel empty in the work you do, I invite you to join me in the richness of coaching others (and ourselves) through wholeness and toward integration.
