I have been stretching and doing soft tissue work with the lacrosse ball every day for a few weeks and my body feels better and is performing better…
these were rituals that I used to do every single night when I was lifting seriously. It is truly amazing when you come back to the things that actually got you to where you are.

After my strength work, I dropped back for volume at 550lbs and was supposed to get 10.
But around rep 5 my hamstrings began making their case for why they were not interested in accomplishing such a task today…
About 90% of the way through rep 9, they swayed the jury and I was cooked.

I am releasing a new Sandbag book later this week and needed to get some shots for the cover. I figured a bigger bag would look cooler, so I took the 310 for a ride.
It has been over 5 years since I have even THOUGHT about shouldering that thing, so I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was.
Anything for a photo op haha
Sometimes my workouts consist of EMOM training where all of the ODD minutes are heavy, and all of the EVEN minutes are light.
Here you are seeing Pause Squats for my heavy movement, while the light minutes, I utilized fat bar, wide grip pull-ups.
It is a great way to mix up training and you can get a lot done in a short amount of time.
Workouts like this come directly from my 30 minutes muscle book. You don’t need to train for 2 hours to get great results, you just need to do the right things, at the right time, with intensity
Getting a little closer to 405 with this 385 close grip, paused, single. Definitely misgrooved on the left side and the bar got out in front.
I don’t know if I will ever bench 500 again, for 405 is going down in the very near future if I can survive dumb reps like this at that weight.
So even though I messed that particular rep up badly, it is an indicator of things to come
