8 years.

I did that.

If 2018 me knew all the things she’d have to grow through, she probably wouldn’t have done it. She would’ve been too scared. Too scared of all the work, the unknowns, the pivoting, the heartbreaks, and the uncertainty.

But I think that’s exactly why God doesn’t give us crystal balls.

If I had known everything that was coming, I also would’ve missed all the gifts waiting on the other side.

The love.
The joy.
The connections.
The community.
The memories.

The things I’ve learned and the ways I’ve grown wouldn’t have happened without this beautiful studio.

Every inch of this place held my heart. Every dancer, whether it was 1 class or 1,000, became part of its story.

Surviving a pandemic. Switching studios. Disappointments. Constant pivoting. Breaking boundaries. Creating community. Connecting with so many people through dance.

I’m so grateful for the journey.

I’m so grateful I had the chance to dream big.

I moved with love and light.

I have no regrets.

This next chapter feels uncomfortable, but something inside me keeps telling me there’s something even bigger in the works.

I have to start talking to myself the way I’d talk to my students.

“Trust the process.”

“Believe in yourself.”

Because in 2018, I didn’t know what was ahead either… and look how beautiful that journey became.

Join us June 24–25 for our Tween Bhangra & Bollywood Dance Intensive (Ages 10–13)! Over two days, dancers will strengthen technique, learn dynamic choreography, and develop their performance skills while exploring the energy and artistry of South Asian dance.

After 8 unforgettable years at Northbrook Court,
Culture In Motion’s studio location will officially close on June 26, 2026.
This space has been filled with so much joy, growth, culture, confidence, music, memories, and dance. Watching hundreds of dancers grow here has truly changed my life forever.

While this studio chapter is ending,
Culture In Motion is not.

Classes will continue in new locations throughout the North Shore as I begin planning the next chapter for the studio and community we’ve built together.
Before we close our doors, I would love to dance together one more time in the space that became home to so many of us. ✨
June classes begin June 9, and I would truly love to see many familiar faces in the studio one last time.
