We are HIRING!

09/17/2026

UPDATE: 3:15 pm - The Water Main Break has been repaired and the road is open to traffic.

WATER MAIN BREAK – NEW DAM ROAD

The Public Works is responding to a water main break on New Dam Road.

New Dam Road will be CLOSED in the area of the water main repair while work is underway. Detour signs will be posted to direct traffic around the work area.

Please do not attempt to drive through or around the road closure. For the safety of our crew and everyone traveling in the area, please follow all posted detour signs, use caution, and reduce your speed when approaching the work zone.

Residents in the area may experience low water pressure, temporary loss of water service, or discolored/brown water while repairs are being made and after service is restored.

Discolored water can occur when a water main is shut down, repaired, or when water flow changes within the system. These changes can stir up naturally occurring sediment in the water mains.

If your water appears brown or discolored:

*Do not do laundry until the water runs clear, as discolored water may stain clothing.
*Run cold water from a bathtub or other faucet without an aerator for several minutes until the water clears.
*If the water does not clear right away, turn the faucet off, wait a short period, and try again.
*Avoid running hot water while flushing, as this may draw discolored water into your water heater.

Our crew will work to complete the repair and restore normal service as quickly as possible.

We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding while this work is completed.

LAKE ARROWHEAD WATER LEVEL UPDATE

We have received an update from Ledgemere Hydro regarding the current water level at Lake Arrowhead.

The lake is currently at approximately 306.5 feet, which is the lower limit of the required summer operating range. Due to the recent dry conditions, very limited rainfall, and extremely low water flow entering Lake Arrowhead, Ledgemere Hydro has initiated a Stage 1 – Low Inflow Watch.

At this time, hydroelectric generation has been stopped due to the lack of incoming water. Ledgemere has also confirmed that the flashboards at the dam are fully installed and in good condition, with only minimal seepage.

Very little water is currently entering Lake Arrowhead. However, Ledgemere is still required to maintain the minimum amount of flow necessary for the river downstream of the dam.

In simple terms, the current low lake level is primarily the result of unusually dry conditions and very little water flowing into the lake. Ledgemere is currently conserving water to the extent allowed by its operating requirements.

We understand that lake levels are important to our members and will continue to share information as we receive updates from Ledgemere Hydro.

WATER BREAK HAS BEEN REPAIRED - A portion of Beaver Dam Road will be CLOSED to through traffic until tomorrow, please follow all detour signs in that area.. Thank you!

WATER MAIN BREAK NOTICE
Lake Arrowhead Community is currently experiencing a water main break on Beaver Dam Road, which is also affecting water service in the Mayfair Way area.

Our Public Works crew is working to make the necessary repairs as quickly as possible.

Residents in the affected area may experience low water pressure or a temporary loss of water service while repairs are underway.

You may temporarily notice discolored or brown water. This can occur when repairs or changes in water pressure disturb naturally occurring sediment in the water mains. If you experience discoloration, please run your cold water until it clears. We recommend avoiding laundry, particularly light-colored clothing, until the water is running clear.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while our crew works to restore normal water service. We will provide additional updates as they become available.
