Last year's winner took his son.

Sean won our Red Bull Rampage tickets and went down to Virgin, Utah with Grant. This is what he sent back afterward:

"The event is amazingly open, everyone has a positive stoke, and all the pros are approachable and engaged."

That's the part that's hard to explain until you've stood there. The riders build their own lines into the side of a cliff by hand, and then they ride them.

"Trail C has a different feel than many of the machine built trails I have worked on in the past," Trail Crew Lead Michael Fischer tells us.

Most machine-built flow trails end up wide open, shaped by the size of the equipment used to build them. But not Trail C. Michael, Scott, and the crew kept the corridor tight on purpose, working a 3.5-ton excavator around trees, rocks, and roots instead of clearing them out.

"Building with the terrain and working with natural features gives the trail more of a technical feel than other machine built trails," Michael says.

Large rocks, roots, and logs weren't removed, they got tread built up to them instead, becoming features of their own. As Michael puts it: "It is 'mountain' biking after all."

Behind the scenes, Trail C has been a masterclass in sustainable engineering. Pro Builder Scott Miller says: "Topsy-turvy / curvy-swervy is how we would describe Trail C. If you look up topsy-turvy in the dictionary (it's actually a word) it means unpredictable changes and reversals.”

We’re excited to share this unique flow trail with you all! It's nearly finished, with our crew fine-tuning things ahead of our grand opening at Raging River in the next month or so (stay tuned)

Entries are open today through Sunday. The prize is 2 General Admission Hike + Bike tickets to Rampage in Virgin, Utah, October 8 - 10. Good for both the women's event on Thursday and the men's on Saturday. It's the 25th anniversary of it, and it's worth seeing in person at least once.

How to get in:
Join, renew, or upgrade your Evergreen membership by Sunday night.
That's one entry. Or use the free entry form, also one entry, same
odds, no purchase. Do both and you have two. That's the cap.

If you're on auto-renew and your membership renews this week, you're already entered.

Here's the part that matters after the tickets are claimed: every Evergreen membership pays for trail work in Washington. Crews, tools, permits, youth programs, and the meetings where trail access actually gets decided. Tiger, Duthie, Raging River, Cheasty, the I-90 corridor, and a lot of trail you ride without thinking about who keeps it open.

Michael here at Raging River with a quick update on Poppin Tops and Trail E 🚧

Poppin Tops is closed 9/14-9/18 as we finish up a short reroute up top that will connect to Trail E.
