🏁 FINALLY GOT THE WIN AT DIXIE! 🏁

To finally get a win at Dixie was special, but to do it on my son’s birthday made it that much more meaningful!

We started the night off strong, qualifying 2nd and rolling off 2nd in the feature. Once the green dropped, I was able to take the lead on lap one and never looked back! We went flag-to-flag, caution-free to bring home the checkers!

None of this happens without the people behind me. I couldn’t ask for a better crew chief than my wife. She keeps everything together and is always there every step of the way.

And a huge thank you to Jeff Smith for always being behind us, supporting us, answering the many questions and calls on race day, and helping us get to Victory Lane! We couldn’t do it without you!

And of course, NONE of this would be possible without our amazing sponsors! 🙌

Thank you to every sponsor who believes in us, supports this team, and helps make these nights at the track possible. We truly appreciate every single one of you!

Millbridge Race Day Recap 🏁

We set out with two goals for the weekend: seat time and finishing the race. And that’s exactly what we accomplished! 💪

Ryleigh was able to get some practice laps in on Friday. She put together some decent laps, but we’re getting to the point where she needs more track time around other cars to really develop her race craft and build that confidence.

Saturday, she rolled out for qualifying and put down a 9th-place qualifying effort out of 12 cars, putting her 5th for the heat race.

She did a great job dodging wrecks and spinouts in the heat and brought it home 5th, which landed her a 9th-place starting spot for the feature.

When it came time for the feature, the message was simple: don’t go out there and be Rowdy Ryleigh 😂 — get seat time and build that confidence. If she didn’t feel 100% confident making a move, don’t force it.

She did exactly that. She avoided a few wrecks, improved her line throughout the race, and started gaining on the cars in front of her. When she caught them, she just wasn’t quite confident enough to make the pass yet, so she’d give up a little ground and work her way back to them.

She crossed the checkers 9th, but more importantly, she finished the race in one piece with ZERO damage. 🙌

Moving to dirt is definitely a learning curve. It’s completely different from quarter midgets and bandoleros, and there’s a lot for this girl to learn.

But stay tuned… 👀

When this girl gets comfortable and confident in that car, y’all better watch out. 🔥🏁

We’re just getting started! 💗

Thank you Kjm2426 for the coaching and giving us a good car!!

Late race day update… we had to recover from the heat! 🥵 It was borderline too hot to race!

We took off to Dixie Speedway after licking our wounds from Needmore. Ryan rolled out for hot laps and was 4th overall, then qualified 4th, which had him rolling off 4th for the feature.

The car felt GREAT! He could drive the bottom and the high side with no problem. Ryan quickly jumped up to 2nd, and we thought we might have a chance to catch the leader… then came a caution.

We restarted on the inside, and the car on the outside didn’t give us much room. We lost a position but held on to bring it home with a 3rd-place finish! 🏁

Definitely got some confidence back after a rough night at Needmore. On to the next one! 💪

UP NEXT: Ryleigh finally gets to strap back in and give it another go at Millbridge! 🏎️💨 Be sure to tune in on DIRTVision!

🥁Drum roll please….Get ready for the worst race recap in history 😂

Our bad luck started on Friday. We were headed to North Carolina for our scheduled practice session when we got the call that a big storm had rolled through and practice was canceled. 🌧️

So that meant we rolled straight into qualifying with zero practice after only having Ryleigh in the car one time. 🫣

Qualifying… let’s just say it didn’t go as planned. After ending up dead last, Ryleigh was convinced Daddy had her running the wrong line. 😂 After reviewing the footage with the team, she had a game plan and was fired up to redeem herself in the heat race.

Then a quick shower came through. Since no track prep was needed, everything moved fast… and somehow we completely missed our heat race. 😬 Yep… rookie parent mistake.

That put us starting 10th on the outside for the feature.

When the green flag dropped, Ryleigh made a rookie mistake, got a little too high, found the marbles, overcorrected, and it shot her straight into the wall. 😖 Safe to say… she won’t do that again!

She was pretty upset with herself, but after climbing out she said, “It was still fun… even if it only lasted a second!” 🤪

Lessons learned:
🏁 Pay attention to the race schedule.
🏁 Stay out of the marbles.
🏁 The wall doesn’t move.

In all seriousness, we’re thankful she’s okay. Every driver has tough nights, and this one came with a lot of lessons packed into a very short amount of track time.

The best part? She climbed out even more determined to prove she belongs, and she’s already counting down the days until the next race.

A huge thank you to the entire Kjm2426 team for the coaching, pep talks, and words of encouragement.. This is just the beginning. 💗🏁

🏁💗SURPRISE! 💗🏁

We’ve been a little quiet with Ryleigh updates, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been hard at work behind the scenes!

After her last race in the Bandolero, Ryleigh told us she was ready for her next challenge. Ever since watching the Tulsa Shootout last year, she’s been asking for a Jr. Sprint. At first, we honestly didn’t think she was serious… but she definitely was!

After searching for the perfect car, we found a DRIVEN Jr. Sprint, had it shipped all the way from California, and gave it Ryleigh’s signature pink “Rowdy Ryleigh” touch. Now she’s officially ready to sling some dirt!

She finally got to turn some practice laps, and all we can say is… WOW! She took to dirt racing like a natural, and we couldn’t be more proud.

Tonight is the big night—Ryleigh makes her Jr. Sprint debut at Millbridge Speedway! 💥

📺 Tune in live on DIRTVision at 5:30 PM and cheer her on from wherever you are!

A huge THANK YOU to all of our sponsors, family, friends, and everyone who supports this little girl’s racing dreams. None of this would be possible without you. ❤️
