Eastern Officials Association Baseball Umpires

I’m very grateful to the EOA umpires giving me another 2 years to serve them tonight. Our mission is to train and be the best we can be so that we can provide the best possible experience for the kids who play baseball in Hampton Roads.

Umpiring is the only profession where you’re expected to start out perfect and get better but we get to work with some pretty great baseball people in this area who understand the game and are there for the kids.

If you ever think of joining us in the future, just know you’d be joining a great group of guys but we do require you to buy into this and find the love of the game through umpiring.

I am personally excited to get to continue my relationships with each of you who we work with in this area. Nobody trains like us. Nobody prepares like us. Nobody cares like us. EOA is a special group and we are thankful when those outside of us see it too.

We are hoping to make a push to fill up our golf tournament at Sleepy Hole on October 5th. The tournament benefits UMPS CARE Charities which helps children in hospitals. It’s a great cause and the tournament will be a great time for umpires, coaches, players, or anyone who wants to join us and help raise money for kids.

Congratulations to another set of EOA umpires out there doing big things. Mikel Davis, Kevin McCreevan, and Bobby LeBrun all volunteered for the LL State tournament and were chosen for the championship game!
