I'm looking for dancers who are at least intermediate level Lindy Hop dancers, and possibly already know the Shim Sham. There may also be some very light acting. This is for a volunteer, museum fundraiser. Ladies must put together a good 40's impression, and gentlemen can wear a suit. I have one size 10, 40s dress to lend.
In exchange for performing, you'll get dinner and get to dance to live, big band music all night. The fundraiser is in the late afternoon/evening of Oct. 17th in Peachtree City. If interested, please email [email protected]. Thank you!
Update: There have been questions about ladies clothing for this event. Here is some additional information. You could look for an 80s does 40s satin or taffeta long, or knee length gown. If it's a more plain fabric, dress it up with rhinestone dress pins, hair clips, shoe clips, gloves, etc. Happy shopping!

Hmm. Apparently, I'm in the advertising for an out of state ball.
Step through the decades at Point Pleasant's upcoming Time Traveler's Ball to help support the annual Battle Days Festival.

Look at the tiny door! It leads to an outdoor turrent. Wearing 18th century clothing means that sometimes, we have to turn sideways to fit through the door. How silly.
