I got my training at Satchidananda Ashram — Yogaville where I lived and served on their organic farm. I started Alternative Energy Hatha Yoga because I wanted to take what I learned and bring it to my hometown of Nokesville, VA. Alt Energy Hatha focuses on breath and discipline to build a practice that gives you fuel for life.

Zen Zone was AWESOME!

Teaching yoga for kids is a privilege I can't express how fulfilling it is! And with my baby on my back 🤪

We explored the 3 pieces that combine to create a yoga: body, breath & the mind. We learned animal poses, played games exploring how we use our breath, used sound bowls to help clear the mind, and made rose & lavender spray to help ground & center!

These girls were a joy to play with, can't wait for the next one!

Welcome Miss Jessica ✨️

Jessica Lonsberry is a 200hr RYT Integral Yoga instructor, loving mother, and dear friend! She hails from Satchidananda Ashram–Yogaville (she took her teacher training together with my mom!) and is dedicated to the path of yoga and selfless service.

She helped out teaching our Monday night classes while I was away on maternity leave and she will continue to sub and give offerings as we move ahead, including helping me with our Friday night classes! 🌙
